OKC just didn’t come o play today. They looked tired from last nights game. There isn’t much they could learn from this game except the difference of being the 3 seed in the west and the 6 seed.

i noticed they have a losing record against the top teams. something like 3-10. might be off a lil with the 10. they will go down in the first round but will be more ready and have more experience next year. doesnt matter if they would learn or not they came to play and just lost to a better team. everyone plays back to backs int he nba

Yeah this is just proof of what I’ve been saying that OKC may be peaking TOO early. If they don’t get a top caliber horse or two in the middle in the offseason, they might miss the playoffs next year in a potentially healthier Western Conference.

mmmm yeah i dont think they will miss it though..durant will be a year better as well as westbrook and green. they can still beat the teams out of the top 4-5 without a center. they will be ok. they dont need to rush things because they are already ahead of schedule.they just need to continue to do what they are doing. there main players are a couple of years from beginning there prime so they have plenty of time. a center would be nice but not getting one wouldnt be a real big deal either

I think the case is close on this debate, Melo is the better player of the 2. I really don’t know how anyone can bring up this comparison. First of all, I don’t want to disrepect Durant, he is good and is an elite player but he not in the same tier as Melo. I’m pretty sure if you ask anyone in the NBA, who they would regard, they would say Durant over Melo. Anyways enought with that.

If you are talking about this year, then yes Melo. But down the road you might have to go with Durant cuz he has got the most potential of anyone in the league. Has a shot to repeat Jordan’s 37 PPG season at some point and no one else can do that right now.

You can’t go wrong with ether player, but my money is on Melo. They both have phenomenal offensive skills, but Mello’s back to the basket game is unreal. I look forward to seeing what other offensive skill Durant will add to his game.

I noticed the Nuggets actually played defense on Durant last night too…He scored 19 points on like 5 of 15 from the field. I’ve never understood why every team doesnt double him when he catches the ball…the nuggets did that a little bit last night and really frustrated him.

The Thunder need a few more pieces. They have a great core right now with Green and Westrbook to team with Durant, but they still need better role players. They need a Center who can bang inside and get baskets, because they take alot of jumpers and teams who live by jumpshots die by jumpshots (I’m lookin at you Chicago Bulls, and Duke Blue Devils!!). A solid low post option would do wonders for this team, it would open up alot for other players. It woudl also help them defensively because they dont have a good defense right now…they are long and alot of them have potential to be solid, but right now, they are inconsistent and struggle on the boards.

I also think another spot up shooter would help alot…Westbrook is a slasher, Green is a slasher and a decent shooter but not a dead eye 3 point shooter, and Durant does it all. Sefolosha isnt much of a scorer and Harden is more of a penetrator as well. A guy like Mike Miller or Michael Redd would be a fantastic cheap pickup this offseason.

This team is definitly on the verge of becoming a contender, they just gotta add a couple pieces…but judging by what their front office has been doing lately…I have no doubt they will get the job done.

you cant double all the time because another player can get hot and cause you to lose. if durant didnt have westbrook or green or harden then it woul dbe alot easier to double. plus you have to have players that know how to and will rotate when the ball goes out of the double. some players dont know how to do that real well so if the ball gets out of the double it hurts the team because some guy doesnt know how to rotate fast enough which leaves somone wide open for a jumpers, layup, dunk or maybe one more pass to anothe ropen guy that got open because of the rotation

If somebody doesnt know how to rotate defensively off of a double team…they honestly shouldnt be in the NBA. High School players know how to rotate defensively.

The way I look at it…Who would I rather have beat my team? Durant? or Nick Collison and Nenad Kristic? I think its a pretty easy choice.

I realize most teams dont look at it like that, but I always have. Its a mute point though.
