I have never seen three players from the same team score 30+ points in the same game. Durant, Harden and Westbrook just did that.
    Durant had 30points 3 assists 6 rebounds 2 blocks 3 steals
    Westbrook 31 10 assists 3 rebounds 4 steals
And the most impressive for me James Harden
30 points on 8-12 FG 4-7 3PT and 10-11 from the line, really efficient.
When this three guys are playing this well there’s no stopping this team, best Pg, Sg and Sf combo in the league by far.

Can James Harden average 20-24ppg if he had his own team?  Say, the Bobcats, Raptors, or Hornets.

He would get a lot more shots but then the teams would have him as their main target, right now he usually plays against the worst defensive perimeter player on the other team because the others are defending Durant and Westbrook, but he is a great player and even when he iniciates the offense he is making good plays so i believe he would.

One thing to note, take away Harden, Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka and the rest of the team scored 6 points on 2-16 shooting. It is kind of funny but at the same time, a little worrying but hey, a win is a win!

Harden is very crafty and smart scorer. His jumper is great but he also has the ability to get the fouls. This trio is the main focus and when all 3 are on fire, they are unstoppable.

@Tongue – I think Harden, on a team where he was the first option, would score about 22 a game. He may not be as effificient as he is with two All-starts in Durant and Russell but Harden would be a good scorer as the go-to guy IMO.

" His jumper is great but he also has the ability to get the fouls."

this is what makes him a beast imo, …. and his dribbling and passing skills at 6’5.

6.2 FT attemps (.2 more and that’s top 10 in the league) with 4.5 3 pt attempts.

Harden is awesome. He is so crafty and deceptively athletic. Kinda reminds me of Manu in his style of play and also how good he is at playing within a team structure. I would argue that LeBron, Wade and any competent PG would be the best PG/SG/SF trio in the league just cos of how good LeBron and Wade are.

Harden has also been able to blossom a bit more, this year, with the loss of Eric Maynor. At ASU Harden handled the ball a lot, as you’ll see a lot in smaller schools with only one real go to guy. He’s been able to do that more and more this year.. Especially when Westbrook comes out of the game, and Harden is operating with that 2nd unit.
You also can’t necessarily discredit Harden for playing with KD and Westbrook. Often times he’s in the game when they’re both on the bench. Vice versa, typically the opponents bench is also on the floor, but it still gives you a good idea of how efficient Harden can be when he’s the focal point of the offense. End of the day, he’s a monster.

That is a halfcourt 3v3 game I would pay to see, Durant Westbrook and Harden vs Lebron Wade Chalmers/Cole…

Can’t believe only 5 players scored for them.  That’s freaking insane.  I wonder if that’s ever been done in the NBA.

I would definitely say Harden could get 20-24 a game on his own team.  As of today, he only averages 10 shots a game, good enough for about 17 points a game.  Out of the top 50 scorers in the NBA, he averages the least amount of shots.  Just imagine if he had 15-20 shots a game.  He would definitely be averaging at least 20.  Granted, coming off the bench and playing with Westy and Durant makes the game a lot easier for him and his efficiency would go down, but I still think that Harden would be able to get 20 a game.  Hell I think he could even get 20 a game on his current team if he started.

So, I’m hoping we can agree that Harden, not Curry or Rubio, was the right call for them now?  This squad’s management is so good, I think they’ve earned a reprieve from second guessing.
