valentinei forgot that they have aboat load of money this summer and should be able to get a very very good player

fastdanParticipantNo free agent this summer really fits their team…plus they probably want to save money to resign KD, JG, RW in the next coupe years.

A.I.to76ersParticipantda thunder should stick 2 da plan & keep buildin their team thru da draft. da only way i think they should spend in free agency is if its on a very good pf or center

quincey hodgesi actually was kinda thinking the same thing fast dan. but im sure there be some bench players that could really help them since there starting five is pretty much set

td8118ParticipantBosh would be a really good fit with them….but two things, your number 1 priority is to continue to do things the right way and make sure your young players are locked up long term…also its going to be tough to land a free agent in OKC

quincey hodgesi think its over blown about how some cities cant land players. because when a poll was taken the knicks were one of the last teams free agents said they would look. its all about the team and the system in place and the players on the team that determines where a player will play. if it was just about where a team is then the cali teams would be the first place players decide to go.

THUNDERstruckParticipantthe starting 5 are anything but locked. as of now we got a pg, sg, and a sf
Jeff green Cannot start at PF he is getting abused day in and day out unfortunately. and nenad UGH.. but if we can get a rebounding PF or a Good Center im sure we can keep one of them in the starting lineup. right now i think jeff green is gonna end up being sixth man for the thunder

quincey hodgesi think green can stick at the pf. especially since his defense is no worst then most of the pf in the leauge and he gives up less points and rebounds then awhole lot of other pf in the nba. as far as center kristic does pretty well plus you have to take into accoutn what center out there that isnt already locked into there team, can do just as well or better then him?

THUNDERstruckParticipantthats tough. both of them are definitely SOLID. and they are able to open up the floor. but if theire shooting mid range shots and 3’s they arent rebounding. and thats a problem.
i would like to think jeff green can become like a rashard lewis type of mismatch if he just bulks up a little more and improves his shot
but in order for that to work we need a hustle big man who doesnt have to do anything but rebound. someone like ben wallace.im not really sure who we could get. i think boozer is overpriced for a player who doesnt play defence. same with amare. and i dont see presti going after bosh. i would LOVE luis Scola (RFA) Brendan haywood? its tough to find a big man who also plays defence that can fit in with the thunder. it would also help if he was relatively young <26. like i said it tough

McWinningParticipanti think Gortat would work at center as a hustle player they should try to get him and then they can have a decent starting lineup they just need an offensive spark off the bench i think getting bosh from free agency and bringing green off the bench would be perfect.

B EazyParticipantWhat the Thunder really need is somebody like a Tyson Chandler. The LAST thing the Thunder want is Chris Bosh…remember they only play with one ball!! There is no way there would be enough touches for all of those guys if Bosh joined. Somebody like Chandler would give them a solid rebounder/defender who doesn’t need to score…

JoeWolf1Tyson Chandler is on the downswing of his career and is slowly getting beat out by Nazr Mohammad, I wouldn’t invest anything in him as far as rebuilding goes. Maybe if he was thrown in as a trade, anymore he is injury prone and inconsistant. I hear what you are saying about a defensive center, Kristic isn’t much of a rebounder and Green needs some more help on the glass, but even Marcus Camby,Jermaine O’Neal,Joel Przybilla, or Brendan Haywood, all 2010 free agents, and better than Tyson Chandler.

THUNDERstruckParticipanti like haywood. we dont need another scorer. just a pure center. my hope is that serge ibaka can become a starter level NBA player. and we move jeff green to the bench. and we get like a haywood, or gortat just for rebounding purposes. the direction in which this team heads is directly correlated to green’s development. depending on what jeff green does and doesnt do. thats what we will see this team making their offseason moves on. other than obvious stuff like strenghtening the bench and whatnot

quincey hodgesi think the thunder are good at the starting five as is. i mean durant green and westbrook are still young so i wouldnt change green out of that 4 spot just yet since hes young. odom isnt much bigger then green and although green isnt a good as he is yet he could be. in todays game i dont think you have to ba a straight banger to be a pf. as long as he can make the other pf work and other pf”s arent having career nights when they play them he should be fine. size is overblown today as far as positions. its about how good a player is and green is a very good one who is still getting better

L.ShapParticipantOk so if they don’t sign a big player, would Marcus Camby be out of the question? Seems to be the perfect fit for this young team.

quincey hodgesi actually would like that pick..or dalembert
0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/30/2009 - 12:21pm #234514

L.ShapParticipantMan, Dalembert is not the answer, he’s too selfish. Camby’s veteran prescense and defense would be ideal fit next to Green. They could have Krstic and Thomas come off the bench together. Would that work?

quincey hodgesactually id rather have tyson chandler. he would have been a perfect fit
0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/30/2009 - 2:11pm #234580

THUNDERstruckParticipantidk about tyson chandler.. if we can get him cheap itd be nice though. i like okafor but his contract is probably too much for the thunder to absorb
0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/30/2009 - 7:30pm #234657

thetruthParticipantneed to target at getting some veterans. to help this young group out. especially when they get ready to make some playoff runs in the future.
