GreenLanternParticipantAs everyone knows, my team needs a double double big man like Heidi Montag needs rehab. 2 rebounds from Nenad Kristic? Are you freaking kidding me? Just don’t bother getting on the plane or in the car if the you are gonna give that crap. Whiteside, Monroe, Cousins, Favors, Aldrich…Land any of these guys in the draft, and we make the playoffs next year. Geez….

nateoak10ParticipantI think you should sign J.O’neal then draft a project player.

GreenLanternParticipantJoel Pryzbilla is a much more attractive (and underreported) FA for us than O’Neal, but Portland probably locks him up.

KevinDurantRocksParticipantI think they can pick up one of those guys up there. The ones i like most and reason why…
Whiteside: Look at those blocks and rebounds, He would be great but i doubt we get him unless he goes 13th or 14th and if thats what people feel about him then, then i dont know if would want him then.
Monroe: Great player. With him differing to his teammates may be really good for this team. The passing ability would help. Effort on the board and on thing i like most about him is his arm length. Almost every player on the Okc team has long arm span. this would be great for the team.
Cousins: Man i love his athletic ability and would be a good player for the boards and dunks in the post. The one thing that won’t get him drafted by the sam presti organization is his attitude. They won’t even give a look with his attitude.
Favors: I like Favors alot just not on this team. Wouldn’t work out cause what thunder need is a big pf or a c. I would take him though more than cousins or over a semi decent team.
Aldrich: I like with Monroe. I don’t think his upside is to high but i think he will give instant 10 points 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.

KevinDurantRocksParticipantWon’t sign J Oneal. That be pretty stupid. He will sign role players but i don’t think he goes for a star unless it’s a STAR!

fastdanParticipantO’neal does not deserve 7-10 at all, especially with the way he’s digressed…in couple years that guy will be fighting to just get minutes the way he’s headed.
I really hope they can land aldrich, with cousins’ stock rising and whiteside possibly entering the draft, I think some team may look to take them over aldrich. If not, it looks like OKC will probably have 2 picks from the 16-12 range, so maybe they can move up. I really think he’s the last piece to their puzzle.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipanttry to get camby would help a lot.

GreenLanternParticipantfastdan what do you think of drafting two players in the top 15? Phoenix and OKC are both on losing streaks. I have been adamant that Jeff Green should NOT be starting at PF (he doesn’t rebound nearly enough) but he would be PHENOMENAL coming off the bench as a sixth man, backing up Durant and a stud PF. The way things are going, OKC could draft 2 starters if one of the big men prospects slip.

festar35ParticipantWhiteside would be perfect for the Thunder.

flibbenmcgParticipantThis is simply wishful thinking so dont kill me for its low to no probability of happening, but they could always try for Greg Oden, he is young, still on the rookie contract as far as salary goes, and before he was hurt he was averaging 12 and 8.5 with 2.5 blocks a game. (Everyone complains about him being way too injury prone but his kneecap this year, i mean really how is it your fault if someone flies into your knee and breaks it.) I think it’d be really sweet to see oden and durant on the same team anyways. I cant see Portland demanding an obsenely talented player for him, maybe a draft pick or two combined with a decent player like a Sefalosha or even DJ White.

aarondsonixfanParticipantWait, isn’t Whiteside in the 2011 draft though?

wuteverParticipantwell he can definitely come out this years draft as well since his stock is just skyrocketing. I would like to see a big man like Greg Monroe play on this team, hes gonna give immediate help and is a great support player to help out Durant. He’s willing to pass up the ball and do the small things needed in team play. I think hes a great piece to the puzzle and is a great role player mold. Presti has been trying to surround Durant with solid role players and its been working great. Monroe is a player that can be efficient with or without the ball in his hands. He’s not a superior athlete but his athleticism in underrated. Monroe doesn’t have the upside as Whiteside or Favors, but he is definitely a safe pick that gives immediate help. Not big on adding Whiteside because he would seem more like a project player that may need some time to grow, hes not very proven yet either. I wouldn’t mind cousins coming in with the Thunder too, he would be a great post player that they need, im just not big on his attitude* His attitude in games bothers me a lot watching his past couple games. I dont know if he will be available with their pick either with his stock rising.

fastdanParticipantUsing both picks wouldn’t make too much sense because there wouldn’t be any playing time for both of them…at least right away. It looks like Brooks is pretty adamant about a 9 man rotation, and as of now they have 7 guys who will probably be part of that rotation for many years:
Durant
Westbrook
Green
Harden
Thabo
Maynor
IbakaRegardless of if you feel Ibaka is their furture starting C or Pf, or a solid backup, or if Green is a 6th man, or a starting Pf, I can’t imagine these guys won’t be apart of the future of this team. That leaves 2 bigman spots. Currently they have Collison and Kristic in those spots, but it’s debatable whether or not they will/should be part of those long term plans, also both of their contracts expire in the summer of 2011. I think the options are either to try to move up the draft and take the best bigman that fits their team (in my opinion Aldrich), and then eventually resign Collison or Kristic, or they can use both picks to try to take the best available bigmen and hope that one or both show promise then decide on what to do with Collison/Kristic in 2011. The problem with just using both picks, is that there might not be any legit bigmen when it’s there turn…I’d rather not get stuck with Pittman and Sanders…I’d much rather they go for a guy that can potentially start at C from day one….I mean they are already winning, and a decent C away from being a legit playoff team, I wouldn’t gamble on a guy like Whiteside or even Cousins…
