TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantI was hopeful that Memphis would go after Pau because Zach signed for 2 years 20 million, maybe Pau would go for the same and they could have a Gasol/Gasol/Randolph/Koufus frontcourt. They would need a taker for Tayshawn Prince but he is a expiring.

frogmanParticipantOKC should do whatever they can to get Pau. He is exactly the player they need.
And I couldn’t be bothered starting a new thread but Patty Mills has signed a new 3 year deal with the Spurs for about $12 mil.

bmac697ParticipantCan the thunder still amnesty Perkins? If so they can use whatever cap space that can creat to make a legit offer. I could see him demanding 2 yr 10 per. There could also work a sign and trade revolving around Perkins, but which one of the young thunder players would the lakers want. Jackson should be untouchable.

CavsFan07ParticipantThey can still use the Amnesty on Perkins, which opens up $9 million more. They’ll either have to do that, or, trade some contracts if they plan to sign Gasol.

Ghost01ParticipantWould be a good pickup for OKC or the Bulls, who both are trying to talk to him.
But I think some need to watch how god awful he was last year, specifically on defense before we make proclomations about "just what they need".

omphalosParticipantTo be fair, Gasol REALLY didn’t want to be on that team in that system, and he made no secret of that.
I don’t think last season was any indication of his actual ability, especially on a team like OKC.

GrandmamaParticipantGasol would be an amazing acquisition for them. They badly need a low post scorer. Snagging Gasol would make them favorites in the West. Would love this move for the Thunder if it happens.

ditotayParticipantthey badly need is a Coach that actually coaches this team. I don’t see Gasol playing for a nonsystem offense like the Thunder’s play every game. He is an excellent offensive PF/C with a great vision and would benefit a team that actually has some flow on the offensive end. On paper he would be a great adition to the Thunder, but changes should be made in order to work properly. I think he is staying put in LA or going to NY where he knows he could excel if they play the triangle.

Kinguy11ParticipantI’ve been a strong advocate for the Thunder signing Pau for a while. He’s the guy they need to win a championship right now; also, it will be beneficial for Steven Adams to play under and learn from Pau in order to add to his offensive game.

hooverballParticipantThey could just do a sign and trade for Perkins and Perry Jones. Perkins gives LA a starting center this year and comes off the books for their plans next offseason. Jones gives LA incentive to do it. Young, cheap athleticism who can actually shoot too.
Starting
PG – Westbrook
SG – Lamb
SF – Durant
PF – Ibaka
C – Gasol6th Man
JacksonRole Players
Butler
Collison
AdamsMuch offensive team than last year without loosing much or anything defensively. Could use another wing assuming Thabo leaves. Perkins is a good 1 on 1 defender, but Gasol is a better rebounder and help defender. Neither Perk or Gasol can really jump, but at least Gasol is a true 7 footer so he can play at or above the rim consistently.

chrispaulwallParticipantIf this goes through and Lamb/Perry/Adams step up, I think they have the best roster in the NBA. Pau and Ibaka down low? Wow. The only team that can possibly match that talent wise is if Chicago gets Carmelo or Houston gets Bosh and keeps Parsons.

dborlackParticipantThat would be a great big man by commitee line up gasol ibaka collison Adams mcgary. All can play a bit of both spots and all r tough guys. The only thing to be cautious with all these guys is they’ve had injuries in the past. Luckily they are so deep everywhere in the big man department they’ll be good with any combo.

Mr. HookShotParticipantWouldn’t the Lakers be interested in Pau if he would sign for $20/2 yrs? I think they would and most sources confirm Pau would like to stay in purple-and-gold as well. Just sayin’

Kinguy11ParticipantWoj just reported the exact opposite, and if there’s one journalist I trust when it comes to NBA rumours, it’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
