Yo did anyone check out the Grizzlies and Knicks game?? Former high school teamates OJ Mayo and Bill Walker went head to head and both had solid games. Mayo has 22 points and Walker had 21 points. The grizzlies got the win, but it was awesome seeing these two go against each other and both playing so well. Walker still has major talent and is getting a chance to show it off. I don’t need to mention anything new about Mayo as everyone here knows he has game.

Im thrilled for Walker man ranked 7th on rivals outta HS…blows his knee out struggles to get back then tweaks it again. Thus being a 2nd round pick. He is a tremendous athlete who was built for the run n gun system of the knicks. My question is, is he this good or just a product of the system. Im cheering 4 him tho!! AND OJ is just SICK!!

OJ’s one year at USC he played Walkers Kansas State team in the first round, and all they talked about was how they were best friends and they didn’t want to knock each other out of the tournament. But Michael Bealsey had other plans and OJ was sent packing

As a K-State fan, I thought at 1st when Walker graduated early to be apart of K-State’s tea, that Mayo was going to come as well since they where best friends growing up. I was super excited and thought that they would have the best recruiting class of all time (think about it: Beasley, Mayo, Walker (pre-injury), Jacob Pullen and Dominique Sutton…pretty nice class). When Mayo left for USC I didn’t really care too much because we still had everyone except him. I was glad we beat USC in the tourny, made me feel like “this is what you would’ve been a part of if you went to school here” lol…

Good to see Walker and Mayo doing good though, especially Walker. Never expected him to put up offensive stats like this. Never really thought of him as a big scoring threat in the NBA because he couldn’t shoot consistently or handle the ball very well at K-State. This system helps because he can hustle and run the floor and get shots. That’s always been a strength of his, as most would know.

The best recruiting class of all time? Dude, you need to check your history books. Even with Mayo there have been better, more talented and more heralded classes…

Anyway, good to see Walker getting his. Every interview I’ve seen with him he comes across as an intelligent, humble, hard working guy, and he’s an exciting player to watch. I’d like to see him in the dunk contest next year. You put Walker, JR Smith, Iggy or DeRozan and any competitive little guy “Jennings, Bynum, Mike Taylor, Bayless,etc..] and you have the best contest in years.

yah walker had no choice. he had already played 4 years of highschool basketball so he had to go to college. sucks about his injury though. i thought he was gonna come in and play very well
