Dirk deserves to be a starter this year. Duncan is playing well no doubt but Dirk is playing better.

is good, but you really can’t complaain about duncan or carmelo either. The west is loaded with talent this year, once again.

this is bullsh*t and we all know it…this is unacceptable

    G-Wade- deserves it
    G-Iverson-should be joe johnson
    C-Howard-deserves it
F-KG- shouldn’t even have been an all-star behind should-be starter chris bosh and guys like david lee and gerald wallace
    F-Lebron-deserves

    3/5 correct

    G-Nash-deserves it
    G-Kobe-deserves it
C-Amare-should have been a reserve, this should have been duncan, and the other forward should be Dirk Nowitzki
F-Duncan-deserves it-but should be at the center spot
    F-Melo-deserves it

    4/5 correct

was on the west ballot. I am curious to know if he had more votes than nash? and who would have been the other starter in the east if Iverson didn’t take his spot?

It would have been Vince Carter,
And Iverson had more votes than Nash

God damn, KG doesn’t deserve this at all. It really should be Bosh. Dwight I guess even tho he is playing pretty poorly this year. Iverson is a joke, and Nowitzki should obviously be starting for the West. All I have to say now tho is, if KEVIN DURANT isn’t named as an All-Star reserve then I will refuse to watch the game!!

CB4 has put up HUGE numbers… Garnett has been injured… This is ridiculous, fans don’t do the players justice… its like a elementary school class election…

Looks like he’s gonna miss the game once again. Which is pretty unbelievable for the 2nd best point guard in the game.

This is a bad list on some parts. But not everyone is as hardcore fans as we are, we know everyone in the league while most fans don’t. They only know the major names, so they see someone like Bosh and say “who’s that guy?” & then “oh I know Kevin Garnett, I’ll pick him!”. Same with DWill, yes he’s amazing but for some reason he’s not as publically known as he should be. Again, same for Iverson, everyone knows him so regardless of his play or recent situations they vote for his name…It’s sad but nothing that we can really do about it.

I’m sure record and location probably played into it for Bosh. Toronto is only 1 game over .500, plus he plays in Canada. I agree he deserved it, and I voted for him a few times, but that’s probably why he didn’t make the starters.

Iverson shouldn’t be within miles of the all-star game. Wouldn’t have mattered to me if it had been either Rondo or Joe Johnson here, but it definitely shouldn’t be Mr. “I refuse to play unless I’m a starter, and my team can go f themselves” Iverson.

Deron Williams will probably be an all-star this year. He may not have made the starting squad, but he’s listed as a likely wildcard pick on NBA.com.

I am a huge iverson fan.. but he should not be a starter let alone on the team. Granted the fans still love him and hes going to get voted in everytime. Rondo should def be in his place, and cb4 should be in garnetts place

This is the NBA’s fault for even putting Iverson and McGrady on the ballots. If both of those guys were write in’s I can promise they wouldn’t have gotten 1/3 of the votes they did. This happens every year and the NBA doesn’t care because they think the “fan’s” like this. Um, no they don’t. You can’t try to make one All-Star ballot equal one person. You can vote every 24 hours online and there are other ways to vote also, meaning one person could theoretically vote like 2,000 times.

I know everyone knows this but the NBA is so STUPID. I mean for all we know Iverson’s possy is just voting all day long for him hahah. The system should really be changed.

I mentioned this awhile ago on here and heard the guys from TNT mention it last night… The players should get a vote. They need to make it so fans, coaches and players votes count for a certain percentage of the voting.

Or the fans should just vote for the two wildcard players, which is what Kenny Smith said last night.

    My starters would’ve been

    Rondo
    Wade
    James
    Bosh
    Howard

    Nash
    Kobe
    Melo
    Dirk
    Duncan
