Holla holla! For the UFC fans here, what do you guys think of that Diaz McGregor fight? The first thing that stuck to my head honestly was McGregor’s acceptance to defeat. Unlike Rousey, who cowers from the media when she lost to Holm, McGregor owned up to his defeat. Actually, all the fighters do that, show up to the media whether you win or you lose aside from this brat Ronda Rousey. Man, the first time she addressd her loss was through Twitter!!! I lost what little respect I had for Rousey during her loss.

Now as for the fight, I didn’t think McGregor really "dominated" Diaz in the first round. He landed more shots, but none of them really rocked Nate. It was clear though the size at least played a role in Conor’s loss. Diaz looks WAY bigger at 170 than McGregor does since COnor usually fights at 145. That second round though was one for the ages, both fighters even when hurt did not run away or stall and kept trading shots. McGregor was clearly gased that round and Diaz capitalized. Beautiful boxing for both fighters, especially Nate.

As for Conor’s career, I don’t think this will set him back too far. He still has the personality and charisma to promote fights, as well as the skill. His ground game needs some honing though. But he won’t beat Aldo again though, that Brazilian is MY MAN.

Sorry for the off-topic post, I just want to hear out your opinions of the fight (for those following UFC here) especially on the diffference Rousey and McGregor handled there loss. PEACE.

I watched it, and it was the first time that I had purchased a UFC event.  I’m a semi casual fan at best, but after watching some of the interviews with McGregor I had to check it out because he did seem outside of his element, fighting 25 pounds above his weight class, and he didn’t seem as comfortable.  You could seem him rubbing his big belly (which he got from eating a purported TWENTY pounds of red meat  a day).

Rousey fought/fights like a bull in a china shop.  Women’s MMA is still comparatively brand new and nobody knew how to separate the contenders from the pretenders.  Rousey got Holm schooled the first time they fought, and Holms was afraid to push the tempo in the defense of her title.

My biggest issue with the UFC is that all this hype about McGregor and his opponent breaks his foot and his out, ten days before the fight.  McGregor was about as true of a competitor as he could be and took a fight that nobody else would, on such a short notice.  This type of thing is common, though, in combat sports.  How happy would a fan be to watch another Aldo/McGregor fight?  A TITLE fight…13 seconds?  GTFO.  That’s just the price you pay for combat sports.  You must pay 50 bucks to watch 13 seconds of a fight.

Yup massive UFC fan here. I also train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and last night showcased it. Im a Mcgregor fan but it showed he had no business at 170.  I give him credit though because gone are the days that fighters will try to jump weight classess and thats what martial arts is about. What else can be said about the Diaz brothers. They are true warriors and true martial artist. Conor is a brown belt in BJJ but man that was some white belt shit. Diaz bros have legit jits and if you cant hang you have no business taking that fight to the ground against their caliber. Congratulations to Cupcake after being bullied by Rousey for so many years and being in some wars its nice to see someone perservere and be rewarded. Night of upsets and everybody needs a slice of humbe pie. Now let me say something about hoops before I get negged by the ball junkies. Happy that my UNC tarheels gutted out a tough win against Duke at Cameron and happy my Bulls got Jimmy Buckets back as we make our way back into the playoff picture.
