They need to add more replays to the game of baseball so crap like this doesnt happen! They also need better umps because that dude was clearly out!

But if the umpire hadnt made that call they’ll still be PLAYING…

I think the Umpires are to busy trying to make that amazing call that no one else would make like when Gallardo lost his no hitter because of that call at first ,but even if that guy was safe on a close call you gotta call him out to givehim the no hitter

damn, that st johns rutgers game reminds me of the worst officiating i have ever seen which was the end of the UCLA womens vs Alabama womens basketball game in the 1998 ncaa tournament that alabama was gifted by the officials. I never was able to find video of it, but it was even worse then the end of that rutegers game. All 3 officials were suspended from work immediately following the game and the Tournament committe issued an appology to ucla.

Why they wouldn’t appeal to the other umpires to reverse the call. Yes it would be a very big embarrassment to the home plate ump it’s a call they needed to get right. Pirates are in a tough playoff race in the NL central and need every game they can.

The league office said on wednesday that it was a blown call…But they wouldnt reverse the call..it still stands..I never understood that Rule…
