    I can’t believe I have Redick on 2 of these lists…ha

    I just realized that it was the last decade, thought it was last 5 years. I would substitute Juan Dixon for Beasley and TJ Ford for Griffin. I would also replace Posey with the Glove. And Melo for Morrison. Damn, I should really read the title before I write!

    The top 3 NBA players should be a given. Not sure how so many of you don’t have Shaq on your list, given that he was the best player on a team that started the decade with a three-peat, then the second best player on another champion.

    Duncan and Kobe are also locks.

    After those three, it comes down to Iverson, Kidd, Garnett, Dirk, Pierce, DWade and LeBron.

    You can eliminate Iverson for killing team chemistry over and over again in the last 3-4 years.

    You can eliminate Pierce because he was only a top shelf player for a handful of those years.

    You can eliminate Wade because he really only belongs on this list for five years of the decade, so really only a ring separates him and Tracy McGrady.

    I’m going with Dirk and Garnett. Why? Because LeBron had no impact at all for the first three seasons of the past decade and never won a title. Kidd’s impact has been declining for most of the decade. And Nash was just good, not great, for the first four years of the decade. It’s a close call between those five, though.
