bobbybParticipantI dont know why people think coming off the bench is a demotion. It is very important that you have a scorer off the bench and more importantly a verstitile scorer like Lamar. If he starts then who comes off the bench. He did well last year off the bench, year before the celtics had posey, before that spurs had ginobli, anyone see a pattern

McWinningParticipanti agree. hes a good fit there because once the other team either is tired or bringing in backups he can do a lot better with his versatility and dominate.

D HampParticipantOdom is really an all-star on most teams in the NBA. I don’t like it, but for the Lakers, now that they have Artest, Odom should come off the bench. Someone has to sacrafice for the good of the team.

D HampParticipantThere’s a chance that would be the best starting 5 of all time. If, and that’s a big IF, they win more rings.

sheltwon3ParticipantI think if they got with that line up it will be in the playoffs where the line up is shorter and players play more minutes but in the regular season they will need Odom off the bench so that they can rest Kobe more. I see Kobe’s minutes dropping especially when you can play Ron Artest at Kobe position and still be effective with say a Luke Walton or something at the 3.
