    Entering the NBA draft.

I remember him coming out of Redlands CC and some said he might could crack the 2nd round had he came out then, he played for St.Johns and was supposed to be a 1st rounder after his year there, but it didn’t go as planned, and going into this year he had a little hype, seems all that is gone now with him only averaging 8 points and 2 boards per game.

I saw him play in JUCO as I played against him in a JUCO Jamboree and watched him play against another team and he was good, but I never thought he was an NBA player, he was very athletic, but skinny and couldn’t shoot and his handle wasn’t the best either, he just had a good first step that masked his ballhandling ability. But with that being said, I played against Pierre Jackson as well in JUCO and I never thought he was an NBA player either, but I honestly thought Jackson was a much better because he was super quick, strong , could handle it and was crazy athletic just tiny(not 5’10 more like 5’8).

To anybody who was following Lindsey this year, is he an NBA player that was just in the wrong system? Or was he just very overhyped?

Last season he came out of the gate killing it in St.Johns non conference schedule. A lot of us were buzzing about him being a future NBA pick last season. Then out of no where he transfers to Rider. It is kind of funny to me that he is getting 8 and 2 per game.Last year for the Red storm he was putting up 12 and 3 and had some big games early in the year. I think had he stayed and St.Johns and continued what he was doing he would be a early second round pick this year. It seems as if he has regressed but make no mistake Nuri can play even with the holes you may point out he can play at a high level. The main thing with me concerning him is his mental make up.

Also I would like to get this clear, No Lindsey is not worth a draft pick this year. I was just stating had he kept going the route he was going last season he would probably be one this year especially in this weak draft. His natural ability is undeniable. I wish the best of luck to him.

I never said he couldn’t play at an high level, dude is a killer on the court, but his wholes are toooo big right now for him to be an NBA player, but maybe he has fixed them because it’s been 2-3 years since I’ve played against him, just like Pierre Jackson’s game has gone to another level since I last played him 2-3 years ago so it’s possible.

As I said about Lindsey, his first step was very good, he knew how to get to the freethrow line at an amazing rate and when he was in the zone you couldn’t stop him, but even at the JUCO level physically he was weak and his ballhandling and ability to create for others was very suspect, he was def possibly the best 2 guard in JUCO, I just thought he would have problems at the next level if he didn’t fix those things.

But all in all my main reason for this post was because I just wanted to know was Nurideen in the wrong system or was he just overhyped.

Nurideen Lindsey will quickly fade into basketball obscurity…Averaging 8 ppg at Rider isn’t going to get you a look

I can’t see him playing anything but very low level professional ball, like semi-pro ball.. He’s strong and can drive, That’s all I can think of as far as positives go. He cant shoot and his PG skills are garbage. This yr he he had twice as many TOs as asts. That’s beyond pathetic.

the only thing i can remember is how last year (or 2 years ago now) he missed a couple big free throws in a big game and he pretty much underachieved during his short stay at st johns. and this year i havnt heard 1 thing about him playin @ rider. I now remember from last year that he transferred there but 8ppg at rider? kinda crazy to even start thinking about the pros. i mean IMO i think he shouldve stayed @ st johns. im not too sure what the situation was and why he left so maybe that wasnt an option but i mean 8 ppg isnt gonna get you drafted no matter where you are…especially not rider. No way he plays in the L

Im from philly so i obviously know about Nuri… But he has fallen since he left St Johns. Hes very tough and he can play with anyone, but hes got to work on his PG skills. At St Johns everyone thought he was the next Rondo because of his passing skills and his quick and crafty scoring. But like someone said he only averaged 8 at Rider, he was injured but he still played. I think he wont get drafted unless he tears up the workouts
