D HampParticipantAw yeah, grab you’re popcorn and a seat on the couch. Call me crazy, I believe the Denver Nuggets can win the NBA championship. HA HA HA HA. I’m picking them to win the whole thing right now. Who’s with me?
Birdman, K-Mart, Melo, Klezia, Billups, JONES, Carter, Nene and shoot it from half court Smith. I haven’t seen a team this hot in the playoffs since………………….. The Nuggets of 1995. Ha ha ha.

Stanford hoopsParticipantim a big laker fan and i still think they can win the title..that said i wouldnt be suprised if denver beat them because they tend to get soft on defense at times..when they are at there best then no other team has a chance but there best is so far and few between that i cant say…one thing i do have to say is the lakers do have the ougher road because utah wasnt a real 8th seed and houston is talented enough to get to the finals ( cant say the same thing for dallas,N.O atlanta or detroit)

bdoody42ParticipantI think there is a small chance the Nuggets can win the title, but I think the road through the west would be difficult for them. If they were to beat the Lakers, I think they would need 7 games and it would be a draining season both physically and mentally. If the Nuggets faces the Cavs I don’t think they can get the job done. Anything can happen, but I don’t see Denver winning it all.

D HampParticipantDenver would be the CAVS in the finals, trust me. Lebron may want to see Denver. But the rest of his team doesn’t.

Stanford hoopsParticipanti think they match up very well with the cavs and boston has shown that playing a 7 game series doesnt really matter as much as some people think..but back to denver they match up very very well with the cavs other than lebron but lebron would have his work cut out from him like he hasnt had in the east tryna check carmelo..then mo would have a tough time with chauncy especially with his power..illguskus, varajo joe smith, nene, kenyon, birdman…delonte west , jrsmith boobie, d jones….i wouldnt mind seeing that series but i still think the lakers will get there and win it

TONYDABOSS77Participanti agree with dhamp but i still pick the cavs

Stanford hoopsParticipantso is kobe…though his teammates may have not gotten that memo..no knock on bron but his path is easier to the finals

Stanford hoopsParticipantits one of those things where u just use basic sense be obviously means he ment to put beat
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/10/2009 - 3:06pm #149269

HaleParticipantThey definitely have a shot at winning a title, but I still the Cavs will win it. LeBron is playing at such a high level right now, I just don’t see him being stopped anytime soon.

bdoody42ParticipantMaybe thats what he meant, but I dont think I should have read the sentence 4 times. If he is such a great mind shouldn’t he spell things right?

cdmPSU17ParticipantRemember back in 03-04, everyone was talking about this being the next Magic/Bird rivalry? Everyone had given up on that with the emergence of D-Wade as the second best player out of that class, but it seems possible that this rivalry could come into fruition, especially with the Lake Show struggling against a Yao-less Rockets team.
With all that said, eprizzle14 got it right. LeBron is on a mission. It’s the Cavs title to lose. This is coming from a big Melo fan. Hopefully though, this will be the matchup in the finals a couple of times.

Stanford hoopsParticipantyeah it could be since cleavland has a easier road
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/10/2009 - 4:55pm #149336
ch15r36isParticipantRockets without Yao today. That doesn’t seem like the toughest road to travel.
Did Kobe even show up at the arena today? It’s games like this that make me embarrassed to think that so many people think he is the best player in the NBA.0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/10/2009 - 5:06pm #149340
nthegoodlifeParticipantI think it would’ve been nice if Fisher, Odom, and Ariza would’ve shown up. I’m sorry you feel embarrassed.

rvirsalParticipantnuggets can win it all. they have a very deep and talented bench. they’ve got 3 all-stars in the starting line up, a very efficient center in nene and a good perimeter defender in dahntay. the nuggets have the blueprint of a championship team. they have a prolific scorer in melo, a floor general in chauncey and an athletic big in kmart.
also, the nuggets have been cruising in the playoffs as of late, 4-1 and currently 3-0. the lakers have to be ready when the nuggets come to town.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/11/2009 - 3:50am #149394
bdoody42ParticipantI think the Nuggets have the players to make a run for the championship. But, when things don’t go their way, will Billups be able to keep the players heads in te game. Kenyon, J.R., and Melo all can take themselves out of the gameif things are not going well. I am also not sold on George Karl as a coach. Somtimes I wonder if Billups is the coach.

Al-Farouq AminuParticipantHouston Rockets will do it.
Cannot handle the group of Artest, Scola, Brooks and Battier. Just too great defense…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/11/2009 - 8:43am #149427
joecheck88Participantyea i wouldn’t count out the rockets yet. don’t get me wrong the lakers are still the obvious favorites to win the series but the rockets are tough and they will deliver some good shots the rest of the series.kobe will deliver and probably win the series himself but if the rockets continue to beat up the role players like odom, the nuggets have a very realistic chance for the finals. but the cavs have to be the favorites to win it all right now. yea they have the easiest road but they are blowing the teams out every game and haven’t lost a playoff game yet. I don’t care how easy their path is, they are impressive.

Stanford hoopsParticipantwhy be embarressed when hes going up against 2 guys who made the all defensive team plus doubles…i mean damn can battier( who i dont like) get some credit with playing great defense
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/11/2009 - 1:33pm #149545

Mr. BasketballParticipantlakers won’t make it to the conference finals.
nuggets won’t beat the cavs.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/11/2009 - 3:01pm #149569

Al-Farouq AminuParticipantand the Clippers will never make the playoffs again

Stanford hoopsParticipantso whats gonna be youre excuse when the lakers make it?…i still think they will go to the finals..they by far have the hardest road..dalls and n.o everyone knows arent that good..atlanta and det arent either..orlando isnt the same team without jamer and i dont even have to mention bosotn without kg
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/12/2009 - 12:26pm #149775
grandpiedParticipantI still see the Lakers and the Cavs doin it up this year. If not the Lakers then the Nuggets either way I think the Cavs are gonna win it all.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/13/2009 - 12:26pm #150021
Stanford hoopsParticipantACTUALLY i dont have denver beating l.a..for one fisher should do a better job on d if not then kobe can check chauncy and put derrick on jones since hes not a threat..both teams are playing with 2 players they didnt have last year..den billups and birdman lakers bynum and arezia…actually brown too..lakers will hurt a lil from nene but if and thats a big if bynum plays half as good as yesterday then lakers should win series 4-2..even if he doesnt i still think they can because kobe will go from having 2 of the best defenders in the leauge checking him to jones and no defense playing jr smith
