joe2324ParticipantWhat do you think the odds are the nuggets are a lottery team next year? The reason I ask is the Knicks and Nuggets can swap picks next year which means if the nuggets are a lottery team and so are the Knicks, the Knicks don’t have too much too worry about as they’ll at least get a decent player if both are selecting in the lottery. What would be hearbreaking is if the Nuggets make the playoffs as an 8th seed and the Knicks finish with the worst record and loss out on Ben Simmons.

ChoppyParticipantI’d love it if the Knicks missed out on Simmons.

HitsterParticipantThe Knicks will look to improve next season rather like the Lakers pick from Phoenix going to Philly that could end up being interesting.
Don’t forget Denver are a lottery team too this year so it all depends where the respective teams finish next season. If Denver were a likely play off team they would be in a "win-win" situation.

PicknPopPaulieParticipantToronto owns the least favorable of those 2 picks. NY does not own a pick in 2016

OhCanada-ParticipantYeah. The Knicks are going all in to try to win next year for sure. They can’t be purposely handing a division rival and likely division champion Toronto a lottery pick.
Its hard to believe the Nuggets will make a playoff run next year with the emergence of New Orleans, a healthy OKC team, young Jazz team and a hungry Phoenix team. I see them getting a top 5 pick.
The beauty of New York committing everything to Anthony is winning players who play on winning teams won’t sign to play with him. They will likely overpay for some guys who will not improve the team much and end up being a bad team again next year.

phila9012ParticipantOn the nuggets, they need to tear it down and start over. Someone said a ty Lawson for the kings pick plus maybe stauskus. Faried has value, you probably could at least get a couple late firsts from the Celtics. Same with gallo and chandler. Then you tank for a year or 2 while developing the players you have and they are rebuilt in 2 years, but if they wait too long they will be stuck with meteocrity for a while
