I wondered, now that it is stated everywhere that Rubio will play for the Timberwolves, how do you think the Wolves will fare?

Will he make Beasly, Love and the rest of the team better players? Will he adapt to the NBA? What will happen to Jonny Flynn? Does Rubio stand a chance at becoming ROY?

Realistically I see him becoming the MVP of the league.  Making Darko look like Chris Webber, make Beasley stop smoking pot, and make Kevin Love look athletic all while leading the twolves to the Finals where they sweep the Heat.

The wolves will comepte for a pla off spot ( this will have more to do with young talent getting better and gel’n together,  then Rubio  making them better,  But Ricky will get alot of the credit)

he will get good stats, and make many highlight reels

and will be in the running for ROY

All I have to say is we better be ditching the attempts to enter the triangle offense if Rubio is our future PG.  He is not built to run the team through the triangle.  The triangle needs a PG with a consistent outside shot and not a guy who is going to need the ball in his hands to make plays.

The T-Wolves need to play uptempo basketball.  They have young legs, athleticism, and a PG who loves the open floor and has great court vision.

Is a very different triangle than Phil jackson´s, you can check NBA.com and see that the Wolves were one the fastest paced team in the league, if not the fastest.

This Rambis triangle uses a lot of pick and rolls, so Rubio will get his share of assists, finding the cutting man to the bascket and maybe finding Love on the Pick and Pop.

Don’t expect Rambis to be the coach. He could get his walking papers as early as today because Kahn can’t hang his job on Rambis for one more disappointing year. Time to ditch the triangle and see if Adelman wants to run the show.

Rambis should go, and, with a proper coach, Rubio should be great.  I expect something like 6 rebounds and 8 assists with 8ish ppg this year.  In time, he could resemble a young Jason Kidd and will make others around him much better as soon as the All Star break this year.

I do really like his game from what I have seen of it, he can show flashes of brilliance at time and could develop into a really nice player.  His game is much more suited to the NBA and he will grow into this game but to have any real effect this next year he is going to have to develop a better shooting stroke.  Right now teams are going to be able to back off of him and just let him shoot which will hinder his greatest ability which is clearly passing the ball.  Having part of the season get locked out might be a good thing for him if he can find someone to just sit and work on his shot with until the season resumes.  Once he does get that though I think he can turn into a J Kidd like player and make our team better overall.

His rookie season will be a success if he averages 8-9 points, 6 assists, and 3.5 rebounds a game with the T Wolves winning 30-35 games next year.  They won 17 games last year and I think they need to win AT LEAST 10 more games in order for their season to be a success.

If Rubio can average that and get the T Wolves to around 30 wins next year then he will probably play in the Rookie Game and be on the 1st or 2nd All-Rookie team.  If he does that and gets some great highlight passes he will create a lot of buzz around the league.  If the T Wolves have a good Rubio, Kevin Love, and an impressive Williams or Kanter then I will get tickets to watch them play the Grizzlies.
