I would love if he came to the Knicks and Wade went to the Bulls and it restarts that great rivalry. Add in Boston for the next couple of years with that squad and if Detroit gets better and also add in to their old rivalry with Chicago and Boston. That would be great.

I miss the great rivalries of the 80’s and 90’s. Somehow Cleveland and Orlando doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.

(again not saying LeBron is going to the Knicks or Wade is going to Miami)

I’m sure Bulls-Celtics didn’t have much of a ring to it either when Jordan first entered the league. 10 years from now people might look back and see the Magic-Cavs as a great rivalry, heated rivalries have to start somewhere

I think it has to do a lot with the personalities of the players too. Charles Oakley, Mason, Starks hated Jordan, Pippen, etc on the court. Same with many players on the Detroit and Celtic squads. I don’t see that anymore with any teams. Washington and Cleveland came close a few years back but they weren’t at the top of the Eastern Conference at the time and DeShawn Stevenson wasn’t nearly on the same level as LeBron.
