What is with all the hate on Brandon Jennings. I’ve seen far too many Telfair comparisons…I honestly think the only thing the two have in common is their flashy style of play and hype. Jennings has an inch or two and is far far more athletic than bassy. Also Jennings shot is better, albeit he isnt shooting a great percent at all from 3 in Europe, that has far more to do with shot selection than his actualy shot. The kid will be a stud. And speedy claxton comparison??? Really just wondering where that came from. BJ is a top flight athlete with great handles and court vision. Shot selection and decision making can both be taught, but talent like his simply cannot.

Personaly I hope he is not like Bassy, Claxton, or AI. Bassy and Claxton because you don’t want this kid to be a good role player. Not AI because AI is a tiny shooting guard who can’t win a champinship and has kind of been a bad locker room player lately. I hope he plays more like Monta Ellis just more under control. Ellis gets in trouble when he plays too fast and HAS to shoot. Otherwise he sets up himself and others on the fast break. A starting point guard with a couple allstar appearances in him. This would be the average outcome of the kid. He could end up like Claxton or he could end up like Kenny the Jet. Ya just never know. I wish him the best tho.

To the person who hopes he’s not like Allen Iverson, you do realize Iverson singlehandedly carried a 76ers team to the NBA Finals despite his second best player being four years removed from his prime and no one else of anywhere near All-Star status on the roster.

Iverson is one of the 50, and perhaps even 30, greatest players ever. You absolutely have to rank him above just about any other pure scorer, such as Gervin and Maravich.

Jennings’ value can be argued, Iverson’s cannot.

Whoever compared him to Telfair is a goon.

“I personally think he is the next Allen Iverson”… I know it’s little over board but he has the potential… If BJ went to college right now Arizona would of been NCAA Champs… but that never happen…

waiting to happen. I usually just laugh because Jennings is superior in every single way. Jennings is perhaps a star and hopefully will be lighting up the Target Center this Fall.

I’ve watched a couple hours of game footage involving Jennings in Europe (yes, game footage, not highlights) and he personally reminds me a a young Stephon Marbury mixed with a little bit of Terrel Brandon. The kid can shoot (if he takes good shots in a disciplined system) and he has the athleticism and flash to boot. I think he’ll be as good as Marbury in his Minnesota Days in his third or fourth seasons.

How can you tell he can shoot from European game footage when he’s averaging like 1 point a game in Europe?

Where is his ring? So he can score. Tell me about the greats. Jordan, Kobe, Kareem, West, Bird, Magic, Russel, ect. What do they all have in common. RINGS!!! T-Mac is good but can get out of the first round. AI is good but just can’t win the big one. If Jennings is going to be like AI, he had better be 6’5 and love to play on the wing because Iverson is not a modern day point guard like Jennings is trying to be. Argue that.
