    What are some of your favorite NBA nicknames? Don’t necessarily have to have liked the player just the nickname. Some of the worst?

    I love:
    The Worm
    The Admiral
    Spud
    Dr.
    Magic
    Pistol
    The Dream
    The Glove
    Air
    X-man
    AK47
    Big Country
    Big Shot Rob
    Birdman

    Didn’t like:
    The Mailman
    Rock—this is for Mitch Richmond and I’m not sure if it ever caught on anywhere besides Sac
    Black Mamba—nothing worse than a self-appointed nickname that nobody likes
    The Akron Hammer—for the sportsnation fans out there
    All Shaq’s nicknames besides the Diesel. To be honest Shaq itself fit him perfectly.
    Big Fundamental—it’s like they HAD to create a nickname for Duncan

    from a tecnical stand point World B. Free isn’t a nickname, that is his legal name, he changed it.

      I know World B. Free is now his real name. I even met the dude in Philly. Having said that, I still will treat it as a nickname in the same way that I will always treat Chad Johnson as Chad Johnson v. Ochocinco

    Yeah I dont know what it is about black mamba but I just hate it. It came out of nowhere and wasnt really a bullseye like most good nicknames.

    i dont really like the initial and number nicknames.. they are lame and have no creativity, like CP3, CB4, D12…. those all suck, the only one of these i like is AK47, because its just not initials and his number, its also the name of a russian gun, which is cool cause he is russian..

    my other favorites are the red rocket: matt bonner and il mago (the magician): andrea bargnani

    Yeah, im not the biggest fan of the initials & number either, but CP3 sounds cooler than the rest for some reason..

    Another one I like is the Durantula
