stealsgaloreParticipantIf the Knicks get Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups, where do they go next to try to improve their team. It seems that the team they would have in place would not be the right fit for Mike D’antoni’s style. They don’t have a PG that likes to push the ball and Carmelo is much better suited to a half court style.
Could the Knicks make a coaching change, or do you think they’re dedicated to Mike D’Antoni?

OhCanada-ParticipantWhy do you say armelo is better for half court style basketball, I wouldnt go as far to say that. Carmelo is an amazing scorer and can get it in with any offensive style, even Charlottes.
The next step would be to acquire a good defensive Center, similar to the way Dallas did with Chandler. Their are actaully many available and if they play this out right they could end up contending and being a top 4 team in the East very soon.

STATnMeloParticipantI can see them getting a defensive center and playing a lot of zone like Dallas which would suit Melo and STAT also helping them rebound more and run more too. Robin Lopez could be an option or Marcus Camby but a guy I think they should look to is Nazr Mohhammed

The lake show2They could score that’s for sure. The problem is Melo and Amare are below average defenders and average rebounders. That max contract Melo is gonna get will hurt as well.

natedogggParticipantI agree if the trade goes through theyll be looking for a defensive big and wings that can defend and shoot.
Also they will have to have plan in mind for a PG in the next 2 years as Chauncey is aging and is contract will be up.
