McGee and Vesely should be fun to watch or the Wizards continue with the Blatche and McGee PF/C combo–  two big time talents but it hasn’t really clicked yet.  Any combination of those two (or with Vesely at the 3) should be fun to watch grow and develop with John Wall running the show.

But Drummond Griffin would be cool. Also, maybe IF you call Derrick Williams a 4 and Love a 5, than that duo might be decent. Other than that Howard/Bass and Anderson was not bad, but not really.

Think of the teams Drummond could go to Cleveland, they have Thompon and Drummond possible, Charolate could have Biyombo and Drummond.  But yes, having two quality bigs is key to winning a championship.

I think Brook and Kris Humphries can be a very good Forward/Center Combo. Lopez is one of the top young centers in the game.  It seems like no one liked my list of young PF/C combinations that show some potential for the future.  As I said in my original post that they could pan like their respective GM’s had in mind out or they could very well fizzle.  With the lack of true centers in the league I targeted young C’s that have some legit upside who have younger or unproven power forwards next to them.

Andrew Bogut – 12.8 ppg 11.1 rpg 2.6 bpg (league leader) age 26

Larry Sanders – 4.3 ppg 3.0 rpg 1.2 bpg ( in only 14 mpg) age 22

Despite a low key rookie year Larry Sanders is a guy with major potential, especially on the defensive end.  Bogut and Sanders combined for 3.8 blocks per game and Sanders was playing less than 15 minutes per game. Sanders has some work to do on his game but is 6’11” and paired with Bogut’s 7′ they make up one of the tallest and longest duo’s in the league with a 7’3” wingspan for Bogut and 7’6” for Sanders.  Only time will tell whether this duo reaches their potential, but the potential is certainly there.

Marcin Gortat – (with Pheonix) 13.0 ppg 9.3 rpg 1.2 bpg  age 26

Markeiff Morris – (college) 13.6 ppg 8.3 rpg 1.1 bpg  age 21

I know this combo will raise some eyebrows, but Gortat really came into his own when he was traded to Pheonix and allowed to step out from behind Dwight Howard’s shadow.  Gortat is still only 26 years old and will continue to improve next season and Pheonix, who was desperate to add toughness at the PF spot, did exactly that adding Markeiff Morris.  He is a player who isn’t afraid to mix it up and has a very good outside shot and pick and pop potential to come in and make an immediate impact.  This duo may take a few years to work things out, but it’s not as crazy as it seems when you first look at the names.

Roy Hibbert – 12.7 ppg 7.5 rpg 1.8 bpg   age 24

Roy Hibbert is another one of those guys who is going to get over that hump of being an average starting center or stay at that level.  I really like the team Indiana is building and Hibbert could really take the next step in 2011-12 and become that 15+ ppg 9 rpg 2 bpg center he has the potential to be and Hansbrough, is a hard working player with a good jumpshot and 100% hustle.  He answered a lot of questions and improved his FG% immensely as a sophomore and I think he and Hibbert both have the potential to be at that 15 ppg 9 rpg range and when you’re getting 30+ ppg and 18+ rpg from your PF and C on a well balanced team that’s pretty good in my book, but this duo could just as easily fade into mediocrity.
