2quick4uParticipantso this is my top 10 list of players that i think are gonna have a BOOM season, turning for the 1st time into all-stars or border line all-stars..
in the list i’m only putting players that i think will improve significantly their stats, so there’s other players that might be all-stars for the 1st time depending on the team’s performance, but i think they won’t improve too much their stats so i’m not putting them..for example players like gordon hayward, deandre jordan, vucevic, draymond green or oladipo could be all-stars but i think they won’t improve too much their stats because they already had their boom season last year..
so here is my top 10:
1. andrew wiggins: this guy is an absolute freak, he’s got tools that only a privileged group of players have and i think this season he’s gonna have a major break out year..at only 20 he’s got already the whole package offensively; if he only had a little more blood in his veins… but he’s gonna be a perennial all-star and in 3-4 years when his team grows he’ll be candidate for MVP.. projected stats: 23.5 ppg/5.5 rb/2.5 ast
2. kawhi leonard: yes i know he’s already been finals mvp and DPY but he still hasn’t had a super season..last year he already improved significantly his stats but i think this year with duncan and parker stepping aside, he’s gonna be the motor, heart and soul of the team, even with the arrival of aldridge. projected stats: 20.5 ppg/8 rb/3 ast/2.5 stl
3. bradley beal: washington needs a scorer and that’s beal..john wall will always get you around 18ppg due to his ability to score in fastbreaks and transition but once the defense is settled..and there comes beal.. projected stats: 20.5 ppg/4.5 rb/ 3.5 ast/1.5 stl
4. hassan whiteside: he already had a great year last season but i think this will be his consecration.. projected stats: 16 ppg/ 12 rb/ 3 blk
5. jabari parker: unfortunetly he got injured when he was starting to play his best basketbal..some people might think that in this list should be the g-freak instead but i think parker will be the leader of this team and will improve more significantly his stats.. projected stats: 18 ppg/7.5 rb/2.5 ast/1.5 stl
6. rudy gobert: last year he proved that with minutes he can be the most dominant presence in defense in the league,. projected stats: 12.5 ppg/ 13 rb/ 3.5 blk
7. andre drummond: reggie jackson could also be in the list as he’ll post numbers like in oklahoma when westbrook got injured, but i think if detroit has any chance of making the playoffs that will depend on drummond’s improvement on offense..i think this will be his year.. projected stats: 17.5 ppg/14.5 rb/ 2.5 blk
8. danilo gallinari: he’s already had good seasons in the league showing his killer instincts in some games but i think this year without lawson and with the tean under-construction he’ll be the franchise player until mudiay grows more.. projected stats: 20ppg/5.5 rb/3 ast
9. jonas valenciunas: if toronto wants to aim for something higher they need valenciunas to step up his game..i think he will this year.. projected stats: 16ppg/10.5rb/1.5blk
10. ricky rubio: yes i know some people will be tearing their hair but i think rubio is gonna have his best season in the league..this summer he decided to not go to the eurobasket to rest and improve his game and i think he’s ready to roll..if team rest healthy they have a chance to take the 8th seed..and rubio is gonna have plenty of assists with wiggins and lavine in the wings.. projected stats: 13 ppg/10.5 ast/6 rb/2 stl

trelos6ParticipantI really hope Smart and Olynyk have big years.
I know you tend to exaggerate in posts and cop a lot of flak (hence the crazy points differential), but as a fellow Celtic fan, it would be awesome to see Smart develop into a D Wade 2.0 and Olynyk to be Dirk 2.0!

festar35ParticipantI like the players in the list, but I think the stats are a little overblown.
Hassan Whitside will be a 4th or 5th option after Wade, Bosh and Dragic along with potentially Deng, so 16ppg is going to be tough I think 11/12ppg will be more around his numbers.
Andre Drummond maybe it’s because I’m not overly high on him, but I think 15/16ppg is more likely, unless he finds a more solid post game and establishes a go to move outside of grab and dunk. Tidying up his free throws as well could help him push into that 17 a night territory.
Ricky Rubio I think will have a nice season, but with Towns, Dieng, Garnett, Payne, Pek, Bennett and Wiggins I don’t see how he get 6 rebounds a game, maybe 3-4.
Danilo Gallinari is one of may favourites and I think he is capable of 20ppg in Denver, I just have a feeling a contender steps in and acquires him as a 3rd/4th option so he won’t get there.
Leonard and Wiggins are two of my favourites as I see a lot of PG in the way they play both ends, but I say take a couple of points off them. Leonard has to share along with not only Duncan, Parker, Ginobilli and Green again but Aldridge and West are now in the team. Wiggins has a deep team as well with lots of scoring options and depth. I think both are capable, but the depth of the rosters will restrict them a little bit. I really hope your right about Parker and Beal, I think they could have very nice years.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThe kid was a solid Player last year coming back from knee surgery, by the end of the season he had to be considered a top 10 defender in the league, especially if we were to narrow the list down to players under 25
He has a under rated skill set for a 6’10-6’11 Pf, he can dribble drive and pass and if he ever learns how to shoot from mid range he could be a dangerous player, paired with Okafor on the block he has the chance to slash to the basket and get some easy dunks, he already attacks the glass like an animal and blocks shots at a great rate, not only can he defend the P&R, he can defend every position on the floor on switches and almost averaged 2 SPG!!!
He does everything on the court accept score consistently and he still averaged over 10ppg in his 1st year, I think he can improve his FT% and add a 16 foot jump shot by the end of his rookie contract, I was a big Noel doubter and I’m starting to realize that I was wrong on selling him short
I really think Noel will have a breakout year next to RoY candidate Jahlil Okafor, they both have a great chance to show the Philadelphia faithful the rebuild will be well worth the hardship and heartache
