clw5382ParticipantHi guys,
I was thinking about which teams should make some changes to their uniforms next season.
I dont have any design ideas, just a list for teams that are due for a change or teams that I would like to see change. Respond with your own list or even new design ideas.
Lakers
Bulls
Cavs
Rockets
Blazers
The Lakers and Bulls are basically identical to jerseys worn since 2000…
It is interesting to see just how much jerseys effect fans and their level of support. For me, uniforms definitely make a difference and help create a fondness for certain teams. What do you guys think?
Cheers

TheGuyParticipantLet me start off by syaing that I can’t wait to see these god awful sleeved uniforms die off once Nike takes over. Holy crap those are bad, can’t stand seeing OKC, Portland and Charlotte wear those pieces of crap. The Hornets’ "Buzz City" black sleeved are so &$#%#&@! bad.
I know Sacramento just released their new logos and will be getting new uniforms. I really like the logos and glad they kept the purple color scheme as purple is a favorite color of mine, plus not too many teams use it. I think there are a couple other teams that will be getting new uniforms, I forget who they are.
As for your thoughts:
Lakers: not really, they’re classics, the only thing I’d do is for their road uniforms make is Los Angeles rather than Lakers as I prefer when teams have their team name for home and location for road as that is sorta the tradition . Plus, it’s LA, how can you not want to display with pride you’re from there.
Same exact thing with Chicago.
Cavs: They’re fine, and still fairly new. No reason to change.
Rockets: I actually like them, I like the road red’s with the grey trim, just my taste. Although they break my pet peeve of not having the team city for road uniforms. However, it’s probably time for a change, I don’t think many people really like them. They might want to go for a completly new color scheme since "Rocket" isn’t really tied to any color, and red is an over used color anyways.
Blazers: No, another set of very good and unique set of uniforms. They all look super sharp, basically perfect.
Personally, the Clippers, Pacers, Nets, Magic, Twolves, Mavs, Suns and Nuggets are due for new looks.
Clippers, those are so bad, you can tell they rushed them out. Maybe go for a different color scheme. Red, white and blue is too common, go for something else.
Pacers: I like the color scheme, and they’ve had some classic before so go back to soemthing that resembles those. The current ones are just boring.
Nets: Just boring as hell. I would add either a yellow or an orange to pair with the black, keep the logo with updated color and get some new designs for the uniforms. Their court design though is top notch tho.
Magic: Those pinstripes with that godawful collar (too many teams have it, like GS) its a bad look. I like the shade of blue with the black and white, just get new uniforms.
Twolves: That dark navy is a horrible combo with black, together they have no contrast. I say go back to the original blue and green colors with a black as a third/trim. Must get those pinetrees on the waistbad of the shorts like the one’s they wore with their 2000’s/KG era unis
Mavs: I like their current ones, their retro blue and green were great, but again I’m dying for some team to use the blue and green color scheme since it’s great and nobody in sports uses it.
Suns: Came close with their new ones, but lessen the black and increase the purple. Or better yet, go back to those perfect uniforms with the big sun on the front. All time greats.
Nuggets: Not sure why they dropped the yellow trim from their primary home and away uniforms, The light blue and yellow is a perfect combo.
Also, Hawks, if you’re going to use neon, try a better shade/color for a neon or don’t bother with neon. I have no clue what that shade is, green or yellow? They’re fine for the sorts new "Oregon" era type uniforms/clothing. I do like when they mix their tops and bottoms, I wouldn’t mind seeing some other teams try that.
And yes, I know I am such a nerd.

ZachAttackParticipantAll short sleeves jerseys look terrible except the Buzz City ones. I LOVE those jerseys. Besides Atlanta, they’re my favorite jersey… All the other short sleeve jerseys should be burnt in the streets.

lalailaParticipantAgree with mostly everything you said, except…
I absolutely disagree for Timberwolves. They look cool, probably the rearest combination of colors. That electric colour looks so much more interesting than all those boring dark blue jerseys.

Hype MachineQuick question.
Does the $300 price point for an NBA jersey seem:
A) Total bargain
B) About fair
C) #&$*ing expensive

TheGuyParticipantCan’t help myself, another one.
Pelicans also have bad current uniforms, they should’ve stuck to their old color scheme of the teal, yellow and purple as those colors were a perfect representation of the city and culture of New Orleans

darkman97ParticipantI’m looking forward to the new Timberwolves jerseys with the Target and Best Buy logos replacing the Minnesota name. Or the new General Motor Pistons, Harley Davidson Bucks, and any other sponsors that will eventually buy the naming rights to the team like they do the stadiums. Better get your favorite jerseys now before it’s to late.
