Winning_TimeParticipantThe site has posted a new mock draft and I think it’s the worst one yet.
Marcus Smart at #6 just does not make any sense. Rondo is still there for now, and they still have Bradley. I know the celtics aren’t the easiest team to know how they’re going to draft right now but I doubt Smart is the guy they take with Vonleh still on the board. Also, I think it’s been said the the Jazz are much more interested in Vonleh than Randle, and also that the Magic are now considering Vonleh over Exum. I digress because these are just rumors but Smart at 6 is illogical to me.\
Also Rodney Hood entered at the 8 spot. I just don;t understand this one. Everyone has been bashing on Hood as a poor man’s Rashard Lewis lately, and 8 seems like a reach for his stock right now.
Sliders:
TJ Warren at 26. I’m going to try not to panic because I’m from NC state but good lord, the guy can flat out score no matter where you throw him. He will NOT slide that late. If anything I could see him going earlier than we imagine. I have him going 16 right now.
Tyler Ennis. I think we’re bulding the slide of Ennis more than it actually exists. The magic talked about him as a guy they would like at TWELVE if they don’t go with Exum. 25 seems a bit harsh and I think Payton is getting a lot of love and deservedly so but I still see Ennis going before him.
James Young at 23! I don’t think this needs explanation really that is unbelievable.
Risers:
Jordan…Clarkson. At 16? You’re telling me the Bulls are going to pass on James Young TWICE and have one of those picks be Jordan Clarkson. How much do you guys actually think the Bulls have given up on Rose? Additionally, Clarkson’s stock is one that is hard to gague right now but if the Bulls really want him they should trade back in my opinion. I like the Payne pick a lot actually but c’mon.
I realize mock drafts are opinions but do you guys agree some of these are off? I would like some evidence for some of these opinions.

MopgrassParticipantFrankly, I think they’ve got the top 10 right, but out of order. I agree the Celtics wouldn’t get Smart. Not unless Rondo was being traded. I think Rodney Hood at 10 or 11 is about right talent-wise. Shooters do well in the NBA.
If you go by rumors, you’d have to drastically drop Saric in the rankings. There might be a strike on this site if Saric went below 20th, but on an article this site linked scouts were talking about him drastically falling because he "can’t shoot" and "can’t guard either forward position." Who knows? Sometimes scouts try to throw people off.
I watched James Young in almost every game this year and he is respectable, but some people salivate over him and they need to calm down.
Clarkson deserves to rise, maybe not that high. Total snubs include Markel Brown and Jabari Bwown (at 51? Seriously?).

morestealsthanscoresParticipantTo be honest dude, I think that whether you think the picks are good or not is kind of beside the point. From my understanding, nbadraft.net mocks have never laid judgement on picks, just tried to predict them. And we know that teams make bad picks every single year…

SwatLakeCityParticipantNot to be rude, judgementful or prideful but I think my mock is a much better representation of how it might turn out. Some surprises I have are the Vonleh going 4th to the Magic because they decide to go PF at 4 and point at 12. Exum sliding to 6th. Young gong 9th to the Hornets. I hear a lot of late lottery teams are high on him and have slated on their big boards before guys like Stauskas, Lavine, Harris, and McDermott. Saric falling to 14 because he won’t come over right away and a lot of lottery teams need more immediate help. (But he probably should be going 10th. Gordon rising to 5th. I am really high on him and love him to my Jazz if Vonleh and Parker are not available. Hood falling to 24. I think this site is majorly overrating him. TJ Warren going 20th. Nick Stauskas sliding to 16. He should be a late lottery pick but someone in the late lottery always slides to mid first round. Jordan Clarkson sliding to 28. I have no idea why he is ranked above guys like Elfrid Payton, Tyler Ennis and Shabazz Napier. And KJ McDaniels going 23rd. I think he is massively underrated on this site.
