I personally love the new look Bucks. Right now they are looking like:
    PG – Jrue Holdiay
SG – Bogdan Bogdanovic (they really lacked somebody who could Bogdan)
    SF – Khris Middleton
    PF – Giannis Antetokounmpo
    C – Brook Lopez
Bench – almost nobody at all (for now)

To me this seems like a playoff kind of roster, both Jrue and Bogdan can create for themselves way better than anyone they gave up, so when the ball is out of Giannis’s hands, it won’t have to be all Khris Middleton anymore.
I think they still need to get a guard in the Danny Green/Wesley Matthews mold and stick him in the starting lineup for most of the regular season with Bogdan coming of the bench, and then unleash this lineup in the playoffs when people start crowding Giannis.

What do you think? Finally a final appearance? Or the Nets/Celtics too good?

Bench needs a little work but the trades are overwhelmingly positive. I think defensively, with Jrue and Giannis on the same floor, you can now stick Middleton on your opposition number 3 guy, which is a luxury. You get a starting 5 where each guy other than Giannis could average 20ppg and be option 2 thru 5. Finally, you show Giannis you are willing to make moves and try win, and show him why he should sign the supermax.
Brown, Connaughton and Thanassis are still on the bench, but they’ll need to bring some guys in on the cheap.

Kyle Kuzma Deactivated his Twitter account. Like that’s going to Stop The Lakers from Trading him. They already got your INfo Buddy!

Giannis has no more excuses. You put Lebron, KD or Kawhi on this team and they win the East no doubt. Also Holiday is only 30 and Bogdanovic is what? 26? Built well for the future. Your the MVP right? Gotta win now.

Excuse me but Lebron in 2009 and 2010 won with his CAVS 66 and 61 games winning both years NBA RS and MVP and then not only he didn’t win the ring, but he did not even go to the Finals… not only that, but following year, 2011, Lebon joins another TOP 5 player in Wade plus another All-NBA in Bosh and still was not able to win the ring so please… oh and Giannis is still 25.
And talking about Durant, this man was absolutely unable to win a championship until he joined a team that had won 73 RS games, and since 2012 when he played the Finals, he did not reach the Finals again until he joined the Warriors, so please you people and media stop inventing narratives…

But don’t worry the BUCKS are going to win 60 games (out of 72) and will make the Finals for sure…

Is the upgrade to Jrue from Bledsoe worth 3 first round picks and losing all your bench though? They better starting finding those ring chasing veterans to fill up their roster.

Definitely worth it if it means they have a better chance at retaining Giannis/

Absolutely, that team is going to rape the league, and by the way, i think Bogdanovich will come off the bench as 6th man in order to compensate the team; there’s no need to have all those players in the starting 5 and Bogdan will still play 30+ min and off course will play the lasts min of the game.

it is worth it because they are desperate to keep Giannis and HAVE to do something. I thought lowry would come cheaper than 3 first round picks. What veterans does everybody see who will earn league minimum (but are worth more) for a chance to win? They need some sort of bench. Mathews re-signing longer term? Korver come back? who else?

They have given up a load for Jrue who is 30 now and hasn’t been an all star for several years. The sort of package NOP got would be for a regular All Star/Top 20 NBA player unless they had sent total scrubs the other way or a lot of extra salary. I didn’t think the last year on Hill and Bledsoe’s contracts were guaranteed. If they are then the extra picks make sense as NOP take a big salary hit.

Does Holiday and Bogdanovic convince Giannis to stay?
Lebron gets Wade, Bosh, Irving, Love and Davis to play with.
    Curry gets Durant.
    Kawhi gets George.
    Harden gets Paul, Westbrook.
Is getting Jrue showing Giannis he’s being treated like the top player he is?

They seem like lateral moves to me. Holiday may be the best player involved in the New Orleans trade, but only slightly. The addition of Hill makes it a net loss of talent for the Bucks.

Bogdanovic is the best player in the Sacramento trade, but would anyone be surprised if a year from now DiVincenzo is better than him? Plus the Bucks gave up all their frontcourt depth.

I would be extremely surprised if at any point Divincenzo plays better than Bogdonovic.
