valentinelast second shot win by the wolves..i watched this one more then the spurs because of 2 players..brook lopez and flynn
iggy has lopez convinced you yet that he gonna be better this year he finished with 27..not sure about boards but he had at leat 13 and 5 blks..changed aloooot of shots also
flynn looked good scoring he had 16 or 18 but he didnt rack up many assist but they won o that all that really matters for now
yi julian played pretty well
jefferson looks like hes gonna take awhile to get back in dominate fourm..it didnt help that he had to go against future all star lopez
t.williams also played well..he finihes wit 14 or 15…and i think he had double figured boards..he mad some dumb turnovers but that expected of a rookie
everyone else played so so..devin harris wa awight but nothing to write home to mom about

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantLopez played very well, but he’s not gonna do that against the Lakers or Magic. Besides, he did get his shot blocked down the stretch. That collapse by the Nets was absolutely inexcusable. I mean, how hard is it to simply take care of the ball? Yi stepped up and played well. He wasn’t afraid of contact, but his defense still needs alot of work.

quincey hodgesyeah he prob wont get those numbers but he still wit get very good numbers because hes a very good player..im not gonna down play his talent he is good and should get the respect for being good…hes gonna get his shot blocked ometimes like every big man does..he did wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more positive then the lil bit of negitive you can name for the game..he a beast.i do agree that what the nets did was inexcusable..but i dont expect awhole lot from them right now..they are young and still learning and lost there best scorer

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI know, I don’t mean to take anything away from Al Jefferson, but I’m still just…….mad. Jonny Flynn is gonna be a monster once he becomes more comfortable using his left and improves his jumper.

bkballerParticipantThe fact that the tall guys like lopez and yi were dominant tonight is in no way indicative of the way this season will play out for them. You have to keep in mind the t-wolves front court. With Love out and Jefferson clearly still not fully back to his old self after that injury, you have to look at who these guys went up against… ryan hollins?? and other than that their other two tallest players who got decent minutes were brian cardinal and corey brewer. Im pretty sure thats the weakest front court in the NBA possibly the WNBA as well when love is out and al is not fully there yet. Therefore while they did have a nice game lets wait until they actually face someone.

bkballerParticipantwithout a doubt lopez will have a great year…im just saying dont expect 27 and 15 and 5 blocks or w.e he had. Id say more like 15-16 and 8 sounds very realistic for him. What shows me that lopez isn’t yet ready to take his game to the all star level is that he doesn’t react well to double teams and once he gets doubled often either takes a horrible shot, turns the ball over or makes a poor pass.

quincey hodgesof course i dont see those numbers every night..i dont see only 4 points more then he had(double teams) last year with 15-16 esspecially with vince gone and him getting alot more touches…though hes not great at it which is ecpected from a second year big man so thats nothing big to worry about…with time that will get better since this is his firt year having to deal wit double teams

DigglerParticipantIt’s pretty amazing that the Wolves could shoot 36% from the field and 14% from downtown and come away with a W. I missed the game, but it looks like ball pressure was key in this one. The Wolves had 15 steals to the Nets’ 4.
One thing I wanted to see was whether our boy Jonny’s frequent trips to the charity stripe would continue once the real refs came back, and it did. If you so much as give this guy an ugly look, he’s dropping free throws on you. I wonder if Flynn can make a legitimate case for Rookie of the Year with Griffin out for 1/4 of the season. The best part about Flynn’s game against the Nets is that he was recovering from illness and wasn’t even a sure thing to play. I can’t wait to see how sick he is when he’s healthy.

tonyl33ParticipantLove isn’t is going to give the T-wolves a bigger front court but he will give them 10 more boards. Defensivly, the wolves will have trouble in the front court. I expect the floor to open up more once Love comes back into the game and run the pick and roll with Flynn.

quincey hodgesi think you have to add t.williams too rookie of the year race since he will be getting alot of time and can fill up the stat sheet

llperezthis was actually the main game I watched last night. More then any of the other games. And the nets straight up choked. I didn’t think Lee looked very good at all. Harris was penetrating and dishing great, but his shot was off. Lopez was a beast, he should be an all-star this year. Yi looked real good. He showed that promise that he has always had. I really like what the nets got going for them. But damn did they choke. The wolves outscored them by like 15 in the last few minutes, it was crazy. I’m glad my boy rambis has those guiys competing, because the talent is defenitely not there. Jefferson didn’t look too dominant and Love is hurt. And somebody needs to slap that Pecherov/baby stewie dude. He is gunning up some garbage shots.
