ksmith9ParticipantHow about a trade between these 2 teams, with OKC getting D Will and Nets getting Westbrook.
Westbrook is probably the best player the Nets could get in that trade who is also young, Meanwhile OKC gets a PG that plays with less TOs and is more pass oriented (though I know D Will is still a scoring PG)

TRC1991Participantdoesnt make sense for OKC. they’ve built around westbrook and durant, why ruin it?

ksmith9ParticipantEveryone knows Westbrook wants to be Like Rose, but he is no Rose. He says he is okay being the 2nd man to Durant, but his game, (taking late shots, holding the ball, turnovers, etc.) show that he does not have the willingness to allow Durant to flourish properly. Williams finds the open man, is concentrates more on his team (this is evident by the huge assist number for D. Will, and the dramatic increase in Brook Lopez’s stats once D. Will arrived in New Jersey. If this trade went Down Westbrook could take the chance to play on the big stage (Brooklyn) and be the Alpha male on a team, while placing Williams on a contender with more options to create plays other than Lopez.
Also I think this trade would put Westbrook in his place. Westbrook is an extremely talented player with unlimited potential, but he does not know how to fully utilize it, and he thinks he is better than his current skill set allows him to be. I think Westbrook needs a reality check to show him he isn’t as good as he thinks he is. At the same time it would allow the Nets to get a PG who is younger and could possibly be better than Williams in the long haul, and bide them a couple more years to rebuild (because Westbrook already has a contract) while not worrying about Westbrook getting to old, ala D. Will.
