r377ParticipantReports – Nets are looking at moving up in the draft and are offering Mason Plumlee as part of a package along with their 29th overall pick.
Its no secret the Nets are among the worst run teams in the league and I personally don’t like this idea. What happens to Broken Lopez in the off season ? Then, what happens to him during the season ? He is a huge injury risk. Mason Plumlee was selected on team USA and was quite handy stepping in for Lopez when he went down injured. Plumlee has shown a bit of promise and is on a cheap rookie contract.
Anyway, what possible teams would consider this deal ?
Washington @ 19 – Gortat is getting on age.
Milwaukee @ 17
Atlanta @ 15. If they lose Millsap (seems likely) Horford could play some. This would also be amusing as this pick was originally the Nets pick in the Joe Johnson trade….
Indiana @ 11. They are not happy with Hibbert, although I personally think giving up the 11th pick is too much for Plumlee and 29th pick…..
Dallas @ 21. Portland @ 23 (Lopez is a FA)

HobbyOGParticipantDumb move by BK..I think Brook is leaving and if he does who’s going to play center? Not sure why Brook would stay if he’s always in trade rumors. Reminds me of Pau Gasol when he was with the Lakers.

nill650Participantthe cavs should jump on that…not that byn would give that much up for 5 spots but if they would cavs could still get a decent pg at the end of the first to back up irving and byn would put themselves right about the end of the short list of likely nba starters and solid rotation players that are not projects at 24.

ExumInfernoParticipantCeltics need defense in the paint, blocks and rebounds.
Pick 16 to the Nets, along with some contratcs to make the trade work like Babb and Pressey. They may not have guaranteed money anyway for next season.
Celtics get Plumlee and pick 29.
If Celtics can’t move up, with Plumlee they would get a better defensive center than they could have picked at 16. Boston would then have picks 28, 29 and 45. A bit complicated, maybe some can be traded for future picks.
Atlanta could use Plumlee, and reswap the picks with the Nets. Maybe Toronto, they need more size.
The Nets might get up more by adding another player, maybe Bogdanovic has some teams interested.
