kazamParticipantIs it wise? When was his surgery? Hes what 19, why not wait it out until next season. I get the desire to want to play, I’m coming off an acl and meniscus tear that required surgery. Just started playing (full contact no restrictions) about a month ago, a month before my year anniversary of surgery. It is difficult to get the mental aspect of not worrying about getting hit in the paint.
If sixers doctors think hes ready then I guess why not but if I’m the sixers doctors I’m saying just wait until summer league. Obviously, Nerlens is simply missing the game hes a young kid and this is likely the longest he’s been unable to compete!

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantWednesday will make it a full year since his surgery, and he still wouldn’t be playing until April 4th. If he wants to try to get a little game time, let him. He’s been working with one of the best surgereons in the world in Dr. James Andrews, and the 76ers have taken their time with him.
So if you’re playing in 11 months, him playing in 13 months, with world renowed help shouldn’t be a problem.

JeffreyhardenParticipantHe could get experience with playing with his boy MCW and see how fast the NBA game is. He can also see if he is a Power Forward or Center in the NBA so in case the 76ers receive the 1st pick and JoJo is available and they see Noel as a Power Forward they can select JoJo. If they see Noel as a Center then they can select between Jabari or Wiggins.

IhateusernamesParticipantThe final part of rehabbing is to PLAY. You can be worried about contact all you want, you have to play to get through it.
Might as well play this year and get the rust out so he wont be so far behind next year.
This all depends on him being medially cleared though.

Jr. ROXASParticipantI guess he just can’t stand sitting on the bench and watching his team get beat up by both top-tier and bottom feeder teams constantly. I mean, his team is starting Henry Sims at center.. and has Byron Mullens as the backup.

PHXSUNDREAMPICK13ParticipantThe bad news bears of the nba? Prediction with Noel, Jabari Parker and whoever else they draft this year they will be draft pick hunting next year too. New boss really needs to change the draft process to prevent this tanking stuff. Competition level in the NBA has been getting pretty low lately

MopgrassParticipantThe coach pretty much said there’s no reason to bring him back this year. He said that as the season was just beginning. However, Noel (at least) looked ready to go in December.
He’s probably been waiting around, bored to death, upset to be missing valuable learning time. I was rather shocked that a rookie would go over his team’s head to, sort of, announce a return date. I bet the GM is pissed. Of course, Noel would have to be fed up to announce a return date without informing them. Maybe that’s what you get for tanking.
