So it’s pretty well established that Nene is the most coveted player in this FA class with anywhere from 6-8 (reported) teams being interested in signing him. My question is where does he end up? He honestly fits with every single team mentioned and makes them instantly better because of his combination of size, speed, athleticism and all-around versatility he brings to the table from the 4 or 5 spot.

Between Houston, Indiana, NJ, MIA, GSW, Dallas, Portland, & Denver…where do you think is:

    1. The best fit & why.

    2. The place he most likely ends up.

I don’t think it’s possible for him to go to miami… they don’t have the cap or the players to put a S&T. Or he should accept half the money (MLE) he wants. Even dallas has better assets to implement a S&T (beaubois, haywood, butler ….?)

I personaly like the idea of him signing with the warriors : he would be a great fit with lee in the paint.

he will be ideal for OKC, he is the kind of inside present they need to get to the next level, do you see them trying to acquire him? but they probably will have to give up Ibaka in the process!
Big al Jefferson is also an option for the Thunder who could fit as he in the Utah’s trading block…

okc traded away jeff green to acquire and extend perkins, and give some space to ibaka.

I don’t see them chasing nene (and offering him a 10M $ a year deal) whereas they gave 8M $ a year to perkins last summer, and have in mind the extension of westbrook, ibaka and harden.

    It doesn’t make any sense.

Houston makes the most sense to me. They need a good center and he would fit well.

portland would also be great if they could work a sign and trade for camby and another piece or draft pick. with that teams speed and the inside outside versatility of aldridge he would fit right in and make them instant contenders out west

Best fit is New Jersey. With Nene and Brook Lopez, New Jersey would have two skilled big men to go along with Deron Williams. The Nets have to start winning in order to generate some buzz before moving to Brooklyn and to convince Williams to re-sign with the Nets when he becomes a free agent next summer.

But i see him re-signing with the Nuggets just ’cause.
