Well this is the best time for the college players to make a name for themselves, or a bigger name for themselves. So here are guys I think have potential of showing why they should be either selected in the top 5, lottery, or even drafted.

1. James Anderson Oklahoma State. I think he is a sure fire lottery pick, but I believe him having a good tournament can put him as a top ten pick.
2. Xavier Henry Kansas. Beginning of the year played well, and then tailed off, but has started coming back to early season form. I think if he has a big tournament on this deep Kansas team then he will possibly solidify himself in the lottery.
3. Wesley Johnson Syracuse. He has been playing great all season, but I think with a good tournament he will be a top 5 pick.
4. Sherron Collins Kansas. I really think if he leads Kansas to a national championship he can be a first round pick, late first round.
5. Anthony Johnson Montana. If he plays well in likely the one game he’ll play in the tournament, he will grab more notice from NBA scouts.
6. Edwin Ubiles Siena. This guy has the NBA body, but he has been quiet in many big games, if he steps it up for Siena during the tournament he can put his name back in the 2nd round.

I think Durand Scott could boost his stock, but its beeen super hot as of late anyways….Also I have a feeling Bledsoe could increase his stock alot in this tourney

Ekpe Udoh has a chance to go in the lotto if Baylor makes a Final 4 run (like I project they will)…They don’t get that far if Udoh struggles. He’s an underrated prospect with very little downside and good polish on his overall game on both ends…

Any of these guys.. if they perform well and get their teams far.. i think some could really increase their draft stock

R-Dot interesting you bring up Samhan. I haven’t watched much of him, but just based on his size it surprises me he isn’t considered as a 2nd rounder. He must be able to shed weight, but if he’s committed that shouldn’t be too hard. Though since he is a senior no reason why he can’t be a 15-20 minute off the bench back to the basket type of guy.

He is a big guy who is producing numbers with that team.
I think he could be a solid back up post player in the league for sure.. I like him as a 2nd rounder

i like samhan, but not in the nba. Calling him slow doesn’t do his lack of speed justice. He’s like Todd McCuloch but with less skill.

Yes, he is slow, but he wouldnt be the worst player in the NBA, i know that for sure.
He could be a guy that grabs 10 minutes off the bench for a team

he might get a look because he is big and has legit skills on the low box. But he would seriously be the slowest player in the nba.

i live in oxnard which is a city on the coast about an hour north from Los Angeles. I lived in Sacramento for 7 years as well.

I have heard the name Oxnard before, I am from the east coast, NY. I have never been out west. Maybe one day. Did you go to UCLA, or just a fan.

nah, i became a fan during that 1995 season when they won the title. But i live close enough to los angeles that i tend to pull for all the LA teams. Living within walking distance of the beach is nice.

That’s awesome. Yeah I go to Hofstra, so I pull for them. Watch out for Charles Jenkins as a possible 2nd rounder in 2011. Though I like watching St. Johns and Manhattan. I am a bigger fan of players on the college level rather than teams. Never grew up with a college team that was a big deal in the area.

i want to go to NY some time. Maybe I’ll get picked up by the cash cab, lol. If you do visit cali, i would recomend either san diego or san francisco over los angles.

I would only go to LA to see UCLA, have to go to John Wooden Court greatest coach of all time.

Interesting you say to visit San Fran and San Diego over LA. I have a bro living in each city (not LA).

Which one should I visit first (based on the city)?

depends on what you want, i just think those two cities are more relaxing and have better scenic views then los angeles. If you want warm weather and beaches and to to relax, then san diego. If you want colder weather without the beaches, but some of the best scenery as well as some great tourist locations in the harbor and downtown night life that is real chill, then san francisco.
