Anton123ParticipantIs anyone else bothered that the site’s twitter is almost entirely devoted to how great Stephen Curry and the GSW team are?
Very little info on the draft, could say something about Dragan Bender currently being in the US and working out for teams, could post some atricles or videos, instead its just Stephen Curry and comments about the officiating in game 6.
I think if you’re going to represent a draft site, you gotta use it for more than fan boy stuff.

Hype MachineIve mentioned before that the draftnet twitter guy deserved the annual site homer award. It doesnt bother me..hes obviously just a big fan.
There is some good draft updates amongst the GSW love, but wouldnt say its the #1 source on twitter for draft info.

ChoppyParticipantI think it does bother you mate. You’re just annoyed that someone else is challenging you for the sites biggest homer!

gopack10ParticipantJust took a look at the site’s Twitter account for yesterday and I’m not really sure what you mean.
There was a back and forth with HP on Chriss (Draft related)
A retweet about something Draymond Green said about being a Warrior forever (GS related)
A retweet from Alex Kennedy about who the Nuggets are working out (Draft related)
A retweet about the draft being in a week (Draft related)
An article tweet of the Top Center’s piece (Draft related)
Another retweet about the Draft happening in a week (Draft related)
A retweet from Nate Duncan on the Finals matchup (Not purely GS related, just finals realted in general)
A retweet of one of their writers going on a Pod Cast this weekend to talk draft (Draft related)
And then three tweets after the game about the Warriors, two relating to that controversial tweet that Steph’s wife sent out that is being covered by every major sports channel.
And if you dig deeper into their replies within that same time frame, they are all draft related.
Does the Twitter account tend to be GSW heavy with regards to NBA talk? Absolutely, but that’s because Aran is out in San Fran and is a Warriors fan.

Anton123ParticipantWell, first off its 4 GSW tweets in a row, secondly, that’s 6 GSW related tweets in a day. To me two would be too much, why retweet stuff about your favorite team on an NBADraft twitter? Why not just do it on your own twitter?
Surely people following an NBADraft twitter aren’t doing it to read about how the Warriors are cool, or are they?

gopack10ParticipantI don’t think Aran has his own Twitter account (at least not that I’ve seen). I think he just uses the Draft.net one. And I’d imagine that he tries to tweet out more than just NBA Draft related things so that he gets a broader fan base and potentially attracts new followers that otherwise didn’t.
And this site does have more than just NBA Draft content. They cover the trade deadline, free agency and offseason outlooks which is more NBA related than draft related. If it was tweets about soccer (albeit he did troll soccer fans the other night as a joke which was kind of funny) then I get what you are saying, but it is the Finals and it is basketball related so while I do see what you mean about it being GSW heavy as opposed to other NBA teams, I think there is more Draft tweeting than anything. It is just the Finals so there are a few more GSW related tweets.

JoeWolf1Who cares, Kevin Pelton tweets about Washington, and a lot of other sports writers/bloggers tweet about their teams. It’s the freaking NBA finals too, it’s not like .net’s twitter handle is blowing up an irrelevant topic right now.
I’ve followed .net’s twitter handle for years, and the vast majority of it has to do with the NBA draft.

OhCanada-ParticipantAnton’s just saying what we’ve all been saying to Aran for years. Nbadraft.net could be so much more. Although I’m perfectly happy with what is being provided especially considering its free.
