ChoppyParticipantSo I was having a good laugh at the nbadraft.net twitter feed trying to justify why they think Thon is 22/23. Apart from the fact that their research consists of a wikipedia search, I think their logic is flawed. They state that the college he attended opened 5 years ago in 2011. Taking in students in years 8-12. In Australia, year 8 is typically 14 years of age. 14 + 5 is 19 years of age. Unless I’m missing something, I don’t know how they’re working this stuff out. If I am missing something I am quite happy to apologise if I am wrong.

Hype MachineDont buy it. Everyone is so salty about Maker.
He was a broke-ass Sudanese refugee from a broke-ass suburb called Mirrabooka. All those Sudanese refugees have basically formed a ghetto in that part of the city.
This is my home town…and very few if any Sudanese refugees without local working parents could come even close to affording the school fees for the very prestigious school in that year book. And he had his brother to pay for too.
I dont buy it…

ChoppyParticipantHis guardian may have been able to afford it though…. Or he might have received a scholarship. Either way, my point was about his age. I still don’t see how it adds up to anything but 19.
