cbeckermanParticipantI hate to say this but maybe if the nba eliminated salary caps it would be much better off, ok am I nuts or is this a serious post your probably thinking – well yes it is and heres the thinking behind it. while the Knicks or Miami may want to have 12 all stars maxed out on their roster they will quickly spend their way into oblivion because the nba arenas are limited by size they wont be able to recoup what they spend, if nba owners are complaining they arent making a profit now imagine what happens when this takes place, teams will literally be going under and the ones that played it smart will be able to capitalize upon their folding.

TimbosliceParticipantYour solution would be to let the big market teams go under so the small market teams can capitalize? Whether or not this post is serious, your nuts.

flybobbyflyParticipanthold on.
The owners are trying to go under less often and also give each team more of a chance to win a championship. this does neither. This is just a bad idea
Teams dont have to go above the salary cap as it is. The wolves highest contract is michael beasley at 4 mil and some change. I doubt they are one of the teams that failed to make any money.

cbeckermanParticipantand they would eventually capitalize upon this not the knicks and heat, yes that is my idea let the big teams spend their money like fools and eventually they would bankrupt themselves, its already been happening but because the owners have such deep pockets its been taking awhile.

aamir543ParticipantNo, Mikhail Proverok would sign anyone he wants, while the Bucks owner would be stuck giving Adam Morrison a multi year deal. NO!

NardDog NationParticipantI feel like most average Joe’s don’t understand just how wealthy, wealthy is in our country. To put things into perspective, let’s take a look at the Koch Brothers. Their networth is calculated at around some $22.5 billion and have made one-time donations in the $20 million ballpark to the arts. We’re not talking a $20 million investment that will see a return but a $20 million loss just because they are rich motherfuckers.
Paul Allen – owner of the Portland TrailBlazers- is reportedly worth $13 billion. You think a NBA team is going to bankrupt him? Seriously? It’s why I have to laugh everytime I hear about how raising their taxes 3% will somehow destroy them. The only reason why they’re complaining is because they want to see a bigger return than they already get in order to stroke their own egos.

SikNinjaSkillzParticipantWow, Really? Thats a horrible idea. Imagine if players like Chris Paul and Dwight Howard didnt want to have to compete to win championships and just signed with the Heat in 2012. that would be good for the NBA.
