C-McGeelook good? the ones i had trouble with were if speights or hawes will start at center for philly, who will start at the 2 for san antonio if they want to bring manu off the bench, and then who will start on the wing for minnesota (beasley, wesley johnson, delonte west, webster, brewer, ellington)

RUDEBOY_Participantisnt it funny that Atlanta and Boston are the only 2 teams that have had the same starting lineup the past 3 years?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 9:14pm #364052

Mr. BasketballParticipanti doubt beasley starts SF. i think he will be the bench PF or possibly the bench SF. He is more of a PF. i think wes johnson starts at SF for minnesota.

fgrrghgParticipanta few things.. apparently toronto is looking at starting barbosa over demar, and i wouldn’t be surprised if calderon starts over jack although I wouldn’t want that. Isnt kristic back for okc? If he is, id doubt aldrich would be starting over him… and if kris humphries is starting for the nets, that team is in very serious trouble

butidonthavemoneyWhy does nobody think Kirilenko is going to start for the Jazz?
Seriously, I would like an answer. Did I miss the big announcement when Jerry Sloan said AK lost his starting spot? I’m living in a cuckoo-clock!

Mr. JewboyParticipantyou guys think the harden is gonna start this year?..i don’t
and what about Cousins? not gonna start?
and i do think beasley is gonna start at either forward spot-after all he is their highest paid player and he started every game last year0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 3:09am #364098

Toronto16ParticipantFew things.
I think Indiana might go with Lance Stephenson as their starting point.
The Clippers will probably start Aminu at SF over Gomes at first. He was the 8th pick in the draft, so he will probably start.
Memphis may go with OJ Mayo at the point this season. They were testing it out in the summer league (though he did struggle). But if that contract dispute continues with Xavier Henry and he asks out, then they probably go with the line up you posted.
Humphries over Favors in New Jersey? Seriously?
I really, really hope Oden can play at least 65 games this season. He needs to show he is not a bust. Stay healthy big man.
Isn’t Sacramento sold on Tyreke Evans being their point guard?
Tiago Splitter will probably start one day for the Spurs, not right away.@fgrrghg
I highly doubt Barbosa starts over DeRozan. Especially if they are going forward with the young gunz movement.

JimRock103ParticipantAgree Cousins over Thompson in Sactown.
Humphries over Favors, wont last long if at all.
Hawes will start in Philly. I think Wesley Matthews may start over Batum.0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 4:15am #364113

ghettosermonParticipantWreckless Jason Kidd definitely still is the starter. All it means is that he will be taking long rests now like Nash does to let Beaubois and Barrea get more playing time. It also means that if Beabouis is hot he will probably finish out games, but after his mediocre summer league performance in which they expected him to dominate, the Mavs can’t be too confident right now in Beabouis as a full time starer. Right now he’s good as a spark plug guy off the bench while his ability to play point guard and run the show develops. He’s exciting as hell to watch but he’s not ready to run a team. If anything though he’s ahead of the curve after some of his performances last year as he was drafted as a big project. He hasn’t even filled his body out yet.

Stojakovicfor3ParticipantReplace Hollins with Varejao, ESPN.com said Marion might not start, Lance Stephenson will start at PG I believe, David Aldridge said Haslem will start at C, Wes Johnson will probably start, Favors will start over Humphries, Q-Rich will probably start over Pietrus, 76ers general manager said Brand will play a lot at C, Donte Greene will probably start over Casspi, I think Blair or Splitter will start, and Andrei Kirilenko will satrt at SF with CJ Miles at SG.

Stojakovicfor3Participantnuffsaid_2001, why would the Magic get T-Mac if they’re way over the cap?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 5:04am #364133

JNixonParticipantDerrick Favors isn’t going to start over Humphries…..Travis Outlaw may even start at PF over both of them. They play a lineup with Harris, Lee and Williams on the perimeter if they use the Outlaw at PF lineup, but Favors isn’t going to start opening day.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 5:06am #364135
Stojakovicfor3ParticipantThe Nets are thinking about buying out Humphries’ contract so why would they start him.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 5:07am #364136

JNixonParticipantI don’t know, but Favors isn’t going to start. Avery Johnson said it himself.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 5:07am #364137
Stojakovicfor3ParticipantI guess Outlaw could start at PF but I don’t think Humphries will.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 5:07am #364138

mgreener_34ParticipantI hope to god the Bulls don’t start Brewer. That would be the worst perimeter shooting team in the league. Maybe Korver or Tmac?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 5:09am #364139
Stojakovicfor3ParticipantIt should be:
PG- Harris
SG- Morrow
SF- Williams
PF- Outlaw
C- Lopez0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 5:11am #364140

JNixonParticipantYeah exactly. That’s pretty much what I was getting at in the 1st post I made.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 5:52am #364146

NorthernLights666ParticipantMinnesota:
PG: Flynn/Ridnour
SG: Webster/Ellington
SF: Johnson/Brewer/Hayward
PF: Love/Beasley
C: Milicic/Pekovic0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 6:07am #364150

paint intruderParticipantThe Pistons have to change something…
And I don’t think they start Jerebko over Villanueva.
That frontline would be to weak and small. And Jim O’Brien said that they’re going to play Granger more at the 4, so George can play the 3, which I think is big bullspit.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 6:08am #364151

sammybuckeye13ParticipantMillsap is going to start for Utah at least at the beginning with Okur still recovering.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 6:14am #364155
B-ball fanParticipantVillanueva is pretty weak too. He doesn’t rebound or defend. Jerebko is undersized, but Villanueva isn’t going to provide toughness down low. He is a worse rebounder than Jerebko.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/28/2010 - 6:49am #364162
kaceyParticipantI could see the Mavericks using this as their starting lineup:
PG-Kidd
SG-Terry
SF-Butler
PF-Dirk
C-HaywoodBased off all the reports from the USA camps, Chandler may be starting opening day. He will be on the receiving end of plenty JKidd alley oops. Terry played better as a starter last year. Plus, with Beaubois and Dominique Jones, they can afford to start Terry and still get solid production from their bench. Also, as a Mav’s fan, Beaubois was disappointing in the SL. He showed very little flashes of actually being a PG. Luckily, the Mav’s are in no rush to start him as a PG, so they can continue to bring him along throughout the course of the regular season.

aarondsonixfanParticipantI thought that Miami was gonna have Big Z start at the 5. And idk about chalmers, i’d rather have d-wade play the 1 and have Mike Miller play the 2
Wade
Miller
Bron
CB4
ZI think that would be a great starting lineup for them.
