I was thinking about the future of the league today and realized that there are so many up and coming players that are going to make the league so great to watch. After the likes of Kobe, Pierce, Dirk, Duncan, Ray Allen, Nash all retire the NBA will still be in great hands. Now, I am not trying to rush these guys just mentioned along, but I can’t wait to see these young players go at it and be the center stage of the NBA. This topic has probably been brought up a few times but Its just amazing at how many great players there could end up being. There will still be LeBron, Melo, Wade, Bosh, Amare, Howard, CP3, D-Will, Monta but after that group of players you have the likes of Rose, Durant, Griffin. So I guess my question to everybody is. Who else do you see joining Rose, Durant, and Griffin as superstars in this league. There are so many to choose from, here would be mine.

    Superstars

    Tyreke Evans

    Russell Westbrook

    John Wall

    Stars

    Eric Gordon

    Andrew Bynum

    Rudy Gay

    Demarcus Cousins

    Kevin Love

    Michael Beasley

    Brandon Jennings

These are just some of the players with the potential to be great players in the NBA, not to mention players who have yet to step foot in the league such as Kyrie Irving, Austin Rivers, Michael Gilchrest, Anthony Davis, Quincy Miller and others. Let me know what you all think.

Also the 2012 draft and all the High school Seniors are just loaded with stars that will just make the NBA even more great to watch. Looking at the 2012 draft just reminds me so much of the depth and potential of the 2003 draft.

I honestly don’t think Brandon Jennings will ever be a true star.  I think he’ll be a starter for most of his career and a solid player, and the type of guy who hovers around all-star births.  As his 2nd season comes to a close he has yet to shoot over 39% from the feild and until he addresses his shot selection, I don’t feel he’ll stack up with the other top point guards in the East for years to come, Rose, Rondo, Jrue Holiday ( also in his 2nd year and who I feel is much more developed and poised to become a top point guard) and Wall and possibly Deron Williams if he sticks around are all better and if you are arguably the 5th or 6th best point guard in your conference I don’t feel that is star caliber, just good.

Steph Curry should be listed under the “superstar” category. Im also more of a fan of Steph Curry’s game than I am Tyreke Evans. Curry is legit. Hopefully some of his skill will rub off on Seth Curry this summer.

Yeah, I agree with Curry. There are a few guys I forgot to mention. I was just trying to get everybodys opinion on some of these players. I also forgot to mention Rondo.

As a Kings fan I see much more potential in Cousins then Tyreke. Cousins has tremendous abilities not seen in centers such as passing and has soft hands, especially for a 20 year old. Tyreke’s game is good but I dont know if will ever be great. He has much more holes into his game and needs a defined role and position.

Can learn to have a consistant jump shot, and Cousins continues to improve his shot selection, the Royals (Kings) Will no doubt arrive real soon. Say hello to a second OKC. (Though no KD involved lol) And you guys will hate me for this, but honestly at times Bynum has looked like he dominates, but he’s nothing close to Howard. His game is impressive and could be a star but nothing close to a super star. He can’t stay healthy and he is certainly inconsistant at times. And when undersized centers get aggressive with him, he tends to be out of control at times. Idk, I could be wrong, but I’m atleast 70% sure he won’t reach the potential of what he was supposed to be. Possibly because Laker fans made the hype for him, and bashed him when he got hurt. So it could be a mental thing. Who knows…
