paradigmnParticipantIn honor of my 1000th post…I put together ten player comparisons of NBA Draft.Net users & NBA Ballers…Enjoy!!!
ARAN SMITH / DAVID STERN: The commissioner of our lovely NBA Draft.Net may not have the bank account of Mr. Stern, or look like a frog (lol), but he’s done a wonderful job orchestrating the best basketball chat forum on the net. Like Mr. Stern, Aran has taken the NBA Draft to another level, and for that I’m thankful.
McDUNKIN / SHAQ: One of the funniest players in NBA history, as well as one of the most dominant, Shaq & McDunkin share many similarities in that regard. A versatile poster, with his own unique style, McDunkin is sure to be in the Hall-of-Fame of NBA Draft users one day. Shaq may be slightly taller than McDunkin, but I still like his chances against the “Big Aristotle” in a game of “gif vs gif”. Whether McDunkin starts to do Buick commercials and bang Hoopz is yet to be determined (lol).
MIKEYVTHEDON / STEVE NASH: Steve Nash is from Canada by way of South Africa. MickeyVtheDon is from Canada by way of Oregon. Both player & poster however have deep knowledge of the game and are true ambassadors for their country. Steve Nash reads defenses…and then picks them apart!!! MickeyV reads crappy posts…and then picks them a part!!! I’ve always respected Steve Nash as a person and player…and I have the same adulation for MikeyVtheDon.
TONGUE-OUT-LIKE-MIKE / BRANDON JENNINGS: Both are from Cali…and…Both got some serious SWAG!!! Jennings is a flashy player who talks shyt with the best of them. Tongue is the same way with his posts. Has the knowledge of the game plus the ability to articulate what he’s trying to say. Bottom line…if you want to argue basketball with Tongue-out-like-Mike…you better bring your “A” game…or he’s going to “Crip-Walk” all over dat azz!!!
PROUDGRANDPA / DELONTE WEST: Delonte West has some serious game…but…Delonte West also has some serious issues. Proudgrandpa can have some serious posts…but….Proudgrandpa can act like a weirdo also (lol). Now…I don’t think you’ll see Proudgrandpa getting pulled over on a motorcycle with a guitar case full of semi-automatic weapons like Delote, or even slip King James mother the “lil grandpa”…but…if you want controversy with a little bit of substance…look no further to Delonte & Proud. Plus…I can never get the sense if Proudgrandpa is black or white…kinda like Delonte (lol).
EUROPEANBALLER / ANDREAS GLYNIADAKIS: Drafted #58 in 2006 by Detroit, Glynidakis is a Greek baller that Europeanballer will love to be compared to. It doesn’t matter if he had a stellar career or not, the fact he helped put Greece on the map in the NBA will do just fine by him. Europeanballer’s posts may be annoying at times…but at least he’s persistent. I think we all got the memo…Europeanballer truly loves Greece!!!
INDIANABASKETBALL / BIRD-MILLER-GORDON: I might as well included Gene Hackman and the whole cast of the movie “Hoosiers” huh??? (lol). When I think of basketball in Indiana, I think of Larry the Legend and his French Lick ties & I think of the greatest Pacer ever, Reggie Miller. Indianabasketball’s posts are just like these players games…lights out from beyond the arc!!! He’s got an old school vibe to his posts. May not have the flash as some of the other posters…but definitely has the substance. I threw in Eron Gordon because I think if Indianabasketball had his choice of what NBA player to emulate in his posts… it would probably be him.
M-DYMES / IVERSON – BEASLEY: M-Dymes seems like the dude that had swag…before swag was even a coined phrase. Basically…he’s a trend setter with his posts. Just like one of the players from his favorite NBA teams the Philadelphia 76ers…Allen Iverson. Wasn’t it Iverson who made braids popular??? (I think Spreewell mighta had them first though???) Iverson would party all night…and then drop 40 on your azz. M-Dymes can get “blazed”…then post with the best of them. Had to throw in Beasley simply for the “Puff, Puff, Pass”…although I’m sure A.I. is no stranger to the lady known as Mary Jane.
RUDEBOY / A.C. GREEN: Rudeboy is an old school cat that probably has forgotten more about basketball than most of us could even fathom. A diehard Lakers fan, Rudeboy’s willing to make the posts that may not get all the glory, but help make the chat forum so special. A.C. Green was the same way in his playing days. He wasn’t flashy…but very dependable. Green holds the record for most consecutive games played 1,192 & Rudeboy has been a constant staple of NBA Draft.Net since I can remember. It’s anyone’s guess however, if Rudeboy has a “jerry curl” and remained celibate until marriage like A.C. Green (lol).
PARADIGMN / EARL BOYKINS: While my favorite player of All-Time is John Stockton…and obviously I would want to compare myself to Michael Jordan (lol)… I had to remain somewhat realistic and go with the little guy Earl Boykins. Now I may not be as small as Earl, but I do share many of the same qualities as a person and with my posts. First of all, I have many relatives that went to his alma mater Eastern Michigan. Also, I tend to be over looked by people, but if given the opportunity, I can shine. Of course most of my posts are about the “little guys” that the majority of people are not that familiar with yet. Like Earl…I can make MANY mistakes, but I also like to think I can do a nice job distributing the rock, or in my case, pertinent basketball information.
Anyways…like I said…this was my 1000th post…and I just wanted to take some time to thank everyone for making this an enjoyable atmosphere.

I May Be WrongParticipantLeroy Jenkins / Wilt Chamerberlain = A man amongst boys, both have claimed to have banged over 20,000 women. Plus, their fondness for Pizza Rolls is uncanny!
Y2G / Rodney Dangerfield = No respect I tell ya! The original user to 1,000 (aka the artist formerly known as YupYup) is steady chugging along
NoMoney / Morgan Freeman = I mean seriously, this guy is a God. His MOD powers allow him to keep order on here and whenever things get reckless, he steps in like Morgan Freeman and gets everyone calm down
FranFran / Juan Carlos Navarro = His English is no so perfect but I like the guy. Both possess a particular skill that stands out (JCN – shooting, FF – number predictions) but we don’t mind for the most part.
Aamir / Baljeet = This is how I see my fellow brown brotha. He does his research, writes a novel, and then gets made fun by Leroy. Typical Baljeet

For_Never_EverParticipantM-DYMES Hates the phrase swagg. Hahahaha
I also hate it. I’ve only used it to mock people that say it to everything from where I live.

mikeyvthedonParticipantThese were jokes. To be honest, I used to hate Steve Nash for the longest time. I am actually born and raised in Toronto, but my mom is originally from Oregon and I would visit a few months out of every year (then going to U of O and living in Portland for a while afterward). With that being said, I always felt like an American citizen.
It used to drive me crazy that Steve Nash got all of the credit for everything Dallas did, even if Dirk Nowitzki or Michael Finley did more. Used to drive me crazy and I developed a resentment (stupid, I know) for Steve Nash. When my favorite player of all-time (I consider Michael the greatest, but this guy is my favorite), Shaquille O’Neal (maybe a reason McDunk and I get along so well), was traded to the Suns, I finally ended my feud with Nash.
I was thinking of doing something with Family Guy characters, but I did not want to be mean, lol. I am fine with being Steve Nash, though I am sure there are better Canadian patriots out there. Am a big fan of Nash taking over as GM of the Canadian Men’s Senior Team, should be good times coming for Canada Basketball. I know people here are praying that Nash decides to play for the Raps. Think it is a pipe dream and he will go to a contender, but people hope that he ends his career in Canada.

aamir543ParticipantAnd I may be wrong, although Baljieet is my favorite cartoon caracter of all time, no question about it, I’m a little more "cool" than him, and I would never get an A-, I don’t care if he got it changed, it should have an asterik next to it.
