    these compile an average of like 12 different sites to determine the draft order this isnt neccissarily a mock draft, but an average consesus from these sites.

    Of course but what nba.com does is that they kind of do an "average" of all they see on other sites. For example, if they have Knight at 4 it’s maybe because most draft sites have him going at 3 or 5 but surely not at 4. Same thing for Walker maybe most of them see him going 5 or 7.

    There’s no real logic in a consensus mock draft, they just take the "average" position of a player ponderated by the place he most appears at. That’s at least how I interpret this.
