jerb2011ParticipantThis really confuses me lol. We always hear of a “poor man’s”______ or a “rich man’s” ______, what do those 2 terms truly mean?

RekeDMCParticipantIt’s like, the player is kind of like that, but not as good (poor man’s) or better (rich man’s). For example, some people are beginning to compare Tyreke Evans and Demarcus Cousins as a poor man’s Kobe-Shaq or Wade-Shaq. As for rich man’s, i dont really have an example.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantPoor Man’s is someone who won’t exactly give you the same numbers as the compared player but could do all the things said player can do just not at the same level
Rich Man’s is the complete opposite and therefore seldom used.

jerb2011ParticipantBecause I read that Cole Aldrich is compared to a rich man’s Joel Pryzbilla at his highest potential. So pretty much 5-8 more points, 2-5 more rebounds and 1-2 more blocks?

TRC1991ParticipantPaul George = poor man’s danny granger
Quincy Pondexter = rich man’s james posey
