kerrstParticipantBetween the Shaq/Pippen beef, the Ghostface Killah/Action Bronson beef and Meek Mill/Drake beef that’s going on right now, it got me thinking about the greatest NBA beefs of all time. So I thought I posted a list and get people to vote on it. I will tally the votes at the end and reveal the winner. Please feel free to add to the list and beefs can either be physical or verbal.
Jordan vs Isiaah Thomas: The Jordan ice out of Thomas for the Dream Team
Oakley vs Tyrone Hill: Gettin pimp slapped for owing Oak money
Rodman vs Karl Malone: Clash of characters that lead to a WCW match
Mourning vs Larry Johnson: 2 stars that just didn’t like each other from day 1.
Kobe vs Shaq or Matt Barnes or Raja Bell or Chris Childs: Kobe and Shaq battle for greatness, Kobe and Barnes head games, The Raja clothesline, Childs clocks Kobe clean twice
KG vs Melo: The infamous tastes like Honey Nut Cherrios comment and ensuing bus standoff
J.Kidd vs J.Jackson: The Toni Braxton love triangle
Rick Fox/Doug Christie: On court punch up that continued into the hallways
Lebron vs Deshawn Stevenson: War of words that led to Jay-Z and Soulja Boy droppin verses
PJ Brown vs Charlie Ward: PJ tosses ward into the crowd like a rag doll
Barkley vs Bill Lambeer: Lambeer just being Lambeer and Barkley just being Barkley
Kermitt Washington vs Rudy Tomjanovich: The punch heard round the world and sent Rudy T to the bench permanently
Maurice Lucas vs Darryl Dawkins: an epic square off after a few sucker punches.
Pistons vs Pacers: Malice at the Palace…..nuff said.
Dr.J vs Larry Bird: classic fight between 2 of the games biggest stars.

ZachAttackParticipantMalice at the palace for sure. I’m not old enough to remember it but I’ve watched it enough to know that it was great. It was also an event that changed the NBA for good. It was just all around greatness. Scary thing at the time but is now known as one of the Top Moments in NBA history

Rip255I liked Zo & Larry Johnson because of the look on Sterns face, and Van Gundys attempt to break them up.
Plus the fact that these 2 dudes could kick just about anyones ass.

Jerrell7ParticipantLemme get this right because I heard rich was sleeping with his wife. Am I correct?
Rasheed Wallace vs the refs. That beef never died.
Shaq vs. Tall white centers (ostertag, Brad miller, bradley)
Arenas vs Crittenden

KevinD40ParticipantWhat about Glbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenden pulling guns on each other in the locker room? Pretty sure when people can end up murdered it ends up being the biggest beef.

mgreener_34ParticipantThis is a beef that little few people know, and even less understand. Yes, I’m talking about:
Ricky Davis vs The World.
Every coach this guy had hated him, his teamates hated him, and with dumb stunts like that intentional miss to try and get the board for the tripple dub, can you blame them? Davis is the essense of every "Kobe" you see at you neighborhood rec. center, except in the NBA, to play like that, you better actually be Kobe.
For real though, Ricky Davis had beef with every single good player he ever played with. A young LeBron James wanted to rip his throat out, and a prime Paul Pierce litterally told the Celtics "It’s either him or me"…Davis was traded shortly after lol
That moment was actually pretty funny, so i’ll go into more detail. Davis and Pierce were our best players sadly, but Ricky always thought he was the main guy. The Celtics were playing Washington, and there was about 10 seconds left. Ricky gets the ball, and Pierce is screaming at him for the pass so he could do his signature bumper jumpshot for the game. Davis instead, waves off the play, drives to the basket, jumps into two players and…Celtics lose the game with 2 seconds to go because Ricky Davis did such a blatant change that the refs just had to call it. Celtics saw enough, I saw enough, and Davis was banished to Minny.
Its funny too, because every team Ricky was on got better once he left. The LeBron Cavs, the Pierce Celtics, Dwades Heat, and the Baby Clippers all improved significantly once he left town.

Mr. HookShotParticipantBarkley vs. Shaq: I think they showed this a 1000 times on TNT Overtime, the fact that Charles tried to punch Shaq but missed … 😉
Oh and also; how can the Malace at the Palace be called ‘great’? I understand the intrigue, but to say it was great? The fact that some morron from the stands threw a beer at Artest is bad, but the fact that he and Jackson punched some fans to the ground is even worse… I would say a ‘beef’ is more when two players contineously run in to each other, like Kobe vs. Raja

Man was a walking side of beef. Well earned reputation as a jerk.
Rings still fit, though.
