mikeyvthedonParticipantIn my mind, this would be a year to just announce All-Stars without playing the game. Give the players some time off in what has just been a draining process for everyone. Without fans, what is an All-Star game? It always has been an honor and an exhibition of some of the top players in the game, but think with COVID still being at high risk, why not just have it be a symbolic gesture?
Well, the NBA seems to disagree. Which led my brother and I to discuss who the starters should be on merit (think they will definitely be different on vote, though we at least have all the vote leaders making the team), reserves and some possible alternates, players with cases to make the team. Plus, Jason drafts for Giannis and I draft for LeBron, without knowledge that Kevin Durant would be the leading vote getter so far. Luckily, still worked out. Was a lot of fun and we get into some nice discussion, realize the process these two go through is not easy.
We also have a poll on our Twitter page, where you can vote for which team you feel would be the favorite to win?

I know some people here have made All-Star predictions, has anything changed over the last little while? Do you feel we snubbed anybody? I think the last spots on the West are up for debate, and the East has a really deep pool this season with some players who will definitely be unhappy not making the team.
Also, do you think there should be an All-Star game this season, or is it not worth the additional risk? Will it be Rising Stars, Dunk Contest, Three Point and everything else involved? Can we finally get rid of the Celebrity game at least? Doesn’t March 7 seem incredibly soon? Thank you to everyone who has liked, subscribed or commented!

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantFrom a practical perspective there is absolutely no reason to have an all-star game this year. If the goal is to complete the season as safely as possible, than the idea to convene all these players and media together for a weekend to play an ultimately meaningless game makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Of course, I understand that this about money and All-star weekend is a big revenue generator for the league. Considering all the money the nba has already lost due to the pandemic, they want to maximize every opportunity they can. Still, this was an incredibly short offseason for a lot of players and there were many that were really looking forward to the time off. I kind of feel like this particular year they should select the teams an in the actual game should be optional.

NorrinRaddParticipantLebron Michael James’s team is the better team, however they would struggle in the beginning of the game with a huge lineup keeping up with Doncic and Lillard and company.
