Make’Em Say UGHParticipantNew trailer has been released today for NBA 2K15. I’m nowhere near the gamer I used to be, but this looks pretty awesome! Denfinetly upped the entertainment value by adding Shaq & Ernie to the table. #YAKKEM
Anyways check out how LeBron absolutely POSTERIZES Shabazz Napier in the trailer! (in slo-mo) haha
Low ball 2K…low ball…

imAboutDatActionParticipantLol its been a rough transition so far for Napier & the season hasn’t even started yet.
– Gets drafted by the Heat.
– Lebron leaves
– Plays horrible in the SL
– Now getting dunked on by Lebron in the 2k trailer.

LitteringAnd…ParticipantI’ve played these games a LOT every year since 08 and honestly I can’t stand that each year it’s "adding entertainment value", like when they got Jay-Z in to direct it. Thing is every year it’s this kind of paper-over-the-cracks "new conent/presentation etc" when in reality every year the actual gameplay issues go unaddressed.
Association mode is badly broken with trade AI, contracts, and scouting/draft computer AI to mention a few issues. Ball physics is still terrible and player AI/pathfinding is atrocious as players dribble the ball off team mates legs and the like…I could go on.
I’m probably more a long-time sports gamer than a bball fan and I can tell you these ‘franchise’ sports games (2K, FIFA…) are just profit making exercise becuase they have market monopoly and they can just pump our bug riddle games year after year and everyone will keep buying them.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantI’m with you man, 100%. 2k10 was the pinnacle. Revolutionized basketball games and since then, in terms of gameplay and customization, they have continued to take steps backward. It’s been very disappointing. I will give Madden some credit for finally making some wholesale changes but it took years of terrible gameplay and consumer complaints for actual change. I enjoyed 2k14 for the PS4 amid the fact it could be better and will still buy 2k15 because of how the landscape has changed so drastically in the NBA. Guess I’m just another dumb consumer without a voice.

SpartanGloryParticipantI love it when there’s a loose ball going down the court towards the opponents basket, and you can never get to it because the ball never slows down….
I also love it when I try to just take a step back to create space from the defender, and the ball handler goes back about 6 steps and causes an over and back violation.
Online play is practically impossible. If NBA 2015 is any good I’m switching.

kngojcParticipantI think I say this very same thing every single year. Mainly because the only thing 2k every consistently changes is how to throw an alley oop. But somehow that translates to them as "the best game out there!" Yup. 1/1 literally means its the best… and only… game to play.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe graphics and presentation look great as usual… However, I’m just sick of this game being about the "bells and whistles". They need to fix the actual gameplay.
2K14 drove me nuts in so many ways. The menu screen sucks. You can’t even load and save rosters like you used to. Online is damn near unplayable at times with the lag and delay… Sometimes the lag/delay is affecting the timing so bad you can barely dribble and do simple things. Defense/staying in front of your man is damn near impossible. I’m tired of players bobbling the ball and falling out of bounds for no reason. Or the ball being thrown completely over your wide open player’s head… Or a player just missing a wide open pass and it goes out of bounds. Tired of the pre-animated dunks where a guy goes up and you can’t jump to block it… You’re just like frozen. However then in some fast break situations it’s so easy to block a dunk. Or during a double team, a defender can tie you up and get a jump ball in like one second.
2K14 was literally the worst of the series

festar35ParticipantIt took me till 2K10 to drop the game of Live and never looked back.
2K better have fixed the fast break passing, the steal/foul button is annoying and association mode needs a make over, I really just don’t like it.
I will be renting both before buying this year.

IndianaBasketballParticipantAh the tap steal twice and intentional foul issue… How’d I forget that one. Super annoying.

doubledribblerParticipantIt is a broken game for me. I still play it because it is basically the only basketball game around. Once they buried EA, they kind of just started coasting. I can agree with everyone that said online is broken. There is no way a game that popular should run so poorly. The last time I played MyPlayer it was ridiculous how hard it was to just make a team and it was basically game over if you ended up in the D-League (this was when it first came out). Association is kind of fun for maybe a season if you pick a bad team and don’t make any trades. To me that mode is broken because it makes it way too easy to build a juggernaut and you basically become invincible. In 2K14 I was basically simming seasons.
The crazy thing is I thought they had a great formula, but it is like they went for gimmicks and promotions instead of working with what they already had. Reminds me of Madden which is basically a roster update, with a fresh coat of paint, and one new weird gimmick.

Lotto StudParticipantGet Up To $35 Towards NBA 2K15 By Trading in NBA 2K14 at Best Buy?
Just inquiring now to see if the same will apply for the 2K release.
If not, I will get rid of my NBA 2K14 sooner rather than later.

OverTimeCrunkParticipantThey need to just give up on the online game play all together. Their online servers will always suck, they have never been playable. I usually try the servers out once every year and it just stops working or it’s just impossible to play.
If I were NBA 2k, I would just try to make all the offline game play as real as possible. From players, all the way up to the feel of how people and objects interact during a game. To the point to where you really feel like you’re at a real game. They leave a lot of the real feel out of what it’s like to be at a game or watch a game on tv, because their always trying to invent some kind of new online game play mode.
On the up side. I like what the did shaq and ernie and the visual graphics on next-gen. But that’s about it so far.

OverTimeCrunkParticipantAnd also I like to add… how hard would it be to put a real life like environment inside of the stadiums? I mean the people inside of the stadiums have been doing the samething for 10 years now. I mean where are the people walking around selling soda and popcorn?. And people waking around doing stuff. And the people in their seats do the same 3 motions in every "new" 2k. 2k is really a dumbed down game every year. But I’m sure I’ll keep buying it so I can use the new players and new shoes and some new online mode that I’ll never play lol

OverTimeCrunkParticipantOne last thing.
Where are the towel people and water & energy drink servers for the players when their in a time out?. NBA 2k has the title of the best basketball simulator game, but they don’t even have that in the game?. Lol smh

Jr. ROXASParticipantI hate it in My Player when you pass to an open teammate and they almost NEVER take the shot, unless your teammate is like Klay Thompson with high shot tendency.. I mean seriously, I call out a play, the ball moves well and a wide open Nicolas Batum will pass up an open shot the ball for a turnover instead.

CynthiaParticipantI’m a junkie for basketball games. I don’t even want to know how much money and time I’ve spent on these games over the years. It started with NBA Live 94, and I’ve gotten a new basketball game every single year since then. I switched from EA to 2K for NBA 2K6. I remember how much more realistic 2K was over NBA Live and since then I never touched Live again. I’ve already preordered NBA 2K15 a month or two ago and can’t wait to play it.
