 So obviously this is way far in advanced and completely up in the air but I was playing 2k11 today and the thought krept in my mind. Let’s say the NBA experiences a long lockout. Will 2kSports still be able to release an NBA game? I’m kind of thinking no since FA’s and rookies will have no contracts and the union could disband. I’m too young to think back to ’99 if NBA Live still released a game that lockout year. If not, my life really will go down the shitter…

The game will be released I believe, regardless of lockout. I think there will be an NBA season, it could possibly be a shorter season but there will be one, and then you can just update the roster online via 2kShare.

As far as I have heard, it will be released, but you make a very good point with rooks and FAs. We’ll just see what happens with madden first.

 Maybe they will leave the FA on their current teams in quick game mode and put them in the free agent pool in other game modes(like the association) and the rookies will be on teams that draft them or something.
