 What do you think of how 2k12 sales will behave?

Will go up because it will be the only way to get the NBA feel?

Or sales will go down for the lack of a regular season?

 

 

Personally, i will buy the game lacking the real thing.

They apparently will have the rookies, according to wikipedia. I think it will be tough to top 2k11, though. I do not really know the new features in the game and such, but the odds are that people will buy it to get the latest ratings and player rosters, plus I am sure they will have some new game modes and touch-ups. I will guess that the sales will NOT be close to 2k11, with Jordan on the cover.

tough, no buzz and the rosters will not be updated because of all the free agents..True, you can update online BUT if thier is no season then it can’t be updated. I say sales will be lower..

I loved the idea of having the 94 knicks, and the 86 Celts, but I want to play with more teams. I want to play with Chuck and make threes with Reggie. I want to dribble up the court with "White chocolate" and make a no look behind the back alley oop pass to Chris Webber. I want to drill last second three with Robert Horry, although all this may be too much ot ask for.

Add more to my player such as giving you the option to spend the money in your contract. Such as what they did in NFL 2k5 were you could buy mini games such as air hockey, paper football, etc. Also having cars that you can buy. Just a thought. Do a better job with the ratings aswell. Also have scenarios that occurred throughout the 2010-2011 season and have you change the outcomes to unlock videos or classic teams.

It obviously won’t be as hyped as the only basketball game (2k11) to feature Jordan, which appealed to more than just the core fans of the franchise or basketball. Subsequently, 2k12 probably won’t sell as much off the bat especially with the lockout. That said, it’s the premiere basketball game franchise right now, so it’ll do fine. The core buyers of the franchise will still pick up the game.

However, I do think they can make overall improvements to the actual game. They can definitely improve the quality of gameplay. They can ALWAYS improve online play and work on achieving a smoother experience. There are some glitches in the game they can improve. They can just continue to improve the overall game and give it a more realistic feel and appearance.

2K’s customers are hooked, so the sales will be high. I mean, a lot of 2K’s customers have been playing the game faithfully since it was on Dreamcast. They’re inpatiently waiting for 2K12 to drop, plus they’ll need their basketball fix.

There won’t be as much hype and marketing effort behind 2K12, but 2K improves every year. I don’t expect anything different this year.
