    I grew up hearing how great Nate Thurmond was from my Dad. RIP Nate. Dude had some biceps.

    i never saw him play and didnt follow his career as much ive done alot of players, that played before i was born…..but i hear his style was almost similar to dwight howard..kareem often spoke highly of him..saying thurmond was 1 of the best big men of his era.

     What a bummer. He was a great basketball player and a very nice guy. I ran into him  right outside his old BBQ place on Folsom in San Fran one time. Real friendly guy and his BBQ was killer.
