They had Nate McMillan was interviewed during 2nd qtr of Pacers vs Spurs today and he made some interesting comments about the East with LBJ now gone.

I can’t find the snippet, but he said he thinks we will see the East in general become a little more big dominant and “grind it out” style of game. Obviously this would work well for Pacers with Turner and Sabonis key guys in Indiana & with the new age C’s it won’t quite be like it was in old days. Think we will see a bit of this play out the top teams in East have Embiid & Horford manning the middle and even the other good teams have more traditional C’s in Jonas Valinciunas, Dwight Howard (was Gortat), Myles Turner (still rim protector).

Teams like Detroit have Drummond & Griffin a more traditional C/PF combo, it’ll be interesting to see if we start to see 2 distinct styles between East & West, going a little more traditional and attempting to beat up on teams like GSW (yeah I know they got Cousins now), Rockets etc.
