JoeWolf1I’d love for him to choose Kansas, but I think he goes SMU
Texas is more crowded down low than you’d think with Cam Ridley having a strong sophomore year last season.
What’s your pick?

SpaceghostParticipantI agree I think SMU is Turners landing spot.. But i wonder Coach Brown is more of an old school guy. and With Myles wanting to be more of a Kevin Durant 6’11 jump shooting player..will he and Coach bump heads..

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI doubt they ever bump heads. Turner is 6’11 and Brown is like 5’9.. Doesnt seem likely..

mtpandolfiParticipantHe apparently hasn’t talked directly to SMU since February, and according to Evan Daniels "It’s Texas or Kansas."

Andrew1984ParticipantSMU would be really interesting with Mudiay, Turner, and Larry Brown. If he chooses to be a Mustang, it’ll be the most attention the SMU basketball program has had in quite some time. They haven’t won a tournament game since ’88. Their last pro was Jeryl Sasser — a nice little office trivia nugget for ya.

JeffreyhardenParticipantYou add him to Duke’s team with Okafor up front they are better then any 2 Kentucky big men. Then they have the wings to compete (Cook, Jones, Sullaman, Matt Jones, Winslow, and Allen). People are getting caught up with Kentucky’s new recruits and rightfully so but both Kentucky and Duke have 9 mcdonalds All American’s each but Duke has more exerienced All American’s and Turner would make it 10. He would form the deadliest high low with Okafor and show pro scouts he is a true Chris Bosh clone with better defense.

SpacegrassParticipantMcDonalds All American designation doesn’t mean you are one of the top 20-25 HS players in the country. Guys who aren’t one of those guys make the game all the time.

JeffreyhardenParticipantYeah I know that the selection committee doesn’t select the top 25 players from that years class but they are a top player at their position for their class. And Duke will have 10 of those players even though some haven’t panned out (Plumlee i’m looking at you) but Duke will have bigs and wings that can compete with anyone with the addition of Turner. Without him they are one bad day from Okafor from being knocked out in the 2nd round of the tournament.

juves4783Participanthearing texas has the best chance. be interesting how they would incorporate him. they’d be 5 deep in the frontcourt with turner, ridley, holmes, lammert and ibeh. texas may be a top 10 team next year with or without turner. their freshman class last year was just stratching the surface and they added #65 recruit barnett who brings nice size to the perimeter.

PhogifyParticipantKansas fan here, but I think that the best decision for him would be Texas. In all honestly I think Eliis and Alexander would start over him if he chose KU, I haven’t been particulary impressed by him in the little time I’ve seen him play and I’m sure he wants to play big minutes right away. He would start next to Ridley for sure at Texas.

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantI’m it’s much believed that Texas is the favorite followed by Kansas and SMU. I used Crystal Ball recruiting services they are us usally right about these things

Bill Walton’s KneesParticipantI still think KU gets him. Embiid, Alexander, and Oubre have been on him pretty hard and he recently said in an interview he doesn’t care about playing time.
Self loves to rotate bigs and play a hi-lo offense and the combination of turner in the high post with Alexander or Ellis down low would give opposing defenses fits next season. Hopefully this comes to fruition.

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantIf he goes to KU who comes off the bench Ellis is an 4 and Cliff is an 5 I highly doubt cliff will be ok with coming off the bench and I highly doubt self would move n upperclassman who’s his highest retiring scorer and most efficient players to the bench in Ellis

Bill Walton’s KneesParticipantHence why I said rotate bigs and that Turner doesn’t care about starting. If your playing the upperclassman theory, then Texas is out of the picture due to the fact they’re returning all of their starters from last season.
