Kabongo is planning on leaving Austin for the draft. I admit I didn’t watch him much this season due to the suspension & I’m not a big Texas fan. Where does everyone see him going in the draft? Seems like a late 1st rounder to me based on upside.

    Dumb decision. He’s not ready.

After the way the NCAA screwed him this year why would he come back?

He’ll be a first rounder for sure. Teams looking for a PG in the mid first round will have to choose btw Kabongo, MCW and Mccollum…. and Kabongo will probably be drafted after both those other guys IMO.

Could just be testing the early entry waters to see where his stock is, and I don’t blame him. It’s a relatively weak PG class this year, so why not see if you’re a first rounder or not? If he ends up staying in, I don’t think he fall past #30.

I think he will do well in workouts. I think his skill set translates well. Maybe even late teens after workouts.

I currently have him going 30th to the cavs, but he could very well drop to the second round. a full season of college basketball could do wonders for his development and draft stock, but after the year he’s had with the suspension and all, think he’s tired and wants to try his game at the next level. could very well end up playing for a contract during training camp or in the D-League next season though.

if a team will be looking for best player late in the draft instead of a fit, definitely will drop to the second round.

Like said above, this is a weak pg draft and he still has “potential” whether real or illusion. I think a team like the Jazz grabs him up with one of their picks. They need a pg, and he can play behind Mo Williams for a couple years. I doubt Burke or MCW falls to them, and I dont see them being able to sign a talented pg to come to Utah. The Eric Bledsoe trade idea that was posted daily is pretty much dead as they’ll more than likely lose trade chips Al Jefferson and Milsap.

****I began looking through the mock to see other potential in the second half of the first round, and other than Utah, I dont see a team that either needs a pg or even need a backup. They seem to all be covered, except possibly Indy??. So if Utah passes, he could slip to second round. With that said, I dont see Utah passing on him unless MCW falls to their first pick and he wows them during tryouts. In the second round, I see Detroit or Toronto taking him.

With Devin Harris in free agency I think Atlanta could select him with one of their two picks. Or even the Knicks, Pirigioni and Kidd are not young and could be an alternative to Felton.

Honestly, Myck is one of the best PG’s in the country, he played pretty good for the few games he played in this year, maybe it was because he had full control of the ball instead of defering to J’Covan Brown, but he still has no jumpshot, but his free throw attempts went up(from 5-7 attempts) and his rebounding average went up(from 3-5), which means he’s probably getting stronger, which is something Kabongo needed to do after last year.

Myck is really one of the better pgs goin into the the NBA, he can really pass, and his shot improved so much this year.I wouldn’t be afraid to say I think he will be better then MCW
