    Has been on a bit of a roll lately. Oklahoma state held him to just 7 points and 7 turnovers but other than that he’s played quite well. 24 pts, 6 rebs against a tough Kansas State team, 31 pts, 8 rebs, 6 assists and 4 steals against the Sooners, and 19 pts, 6 rebs, 8 assists and 3 steals with just 1 turnover against Baylor (TBH the only game of the 4 I actually watched).

    I was never really a fan of his game but he’s starting to flash brilliance. Has he finally figured it out? And with a strong end to the season how high of a draft pick can he be?

    I was going to make a post about him actually as I have been following him. I was quite high on him coming out of high school, but he was a bit disappointing last year. I was looking for him to bounce back.

    Ive currently got him going mid first round, but im a bit biased. I think most ppl might have him as a late first / early second if he declares this year…

      Your mock draft would give us (the bobcats) a chance to draft either Nerlens Noel and Victor Oladipo or Ben McLemore and Alex Len. Those won’t happen but I approve of both of those scenarios immensely.

      Kabongo’s a lot longer (has the wingspan of a SG) and is more aggressive both in driving and looking to make plays.

          I don’t see it. Collison has always been a quick, system PG. More of a distributor than a playmaker. Kabongo actively looks to collapse the defense, make plays and get to the rim.

    I believe he’s placed himself back in the first round, and possibly the 5th PG taken. I still like CJ McCollum ahead of Kabongo due to CJ’s great size for a a PG and is one of the better shooters in this draft.

    Kabongo is 180lbs vs McCollum 200lbs. Kabongo 6’1 vs McCollum 6’3. Huge difference in size.

    Not really. McCollum isn’t 200 lbs either. If Mccollum was 200, he’d look a lot stronger than he does. He has about 10 lbs on Kabongo, who added 10 lbs of muscle over the off-season and suspension. Myck also is almost 2 yrs younger. Kabongo has the longer arms, better lateral quickness and is the better athlete overall. I’d say Kabongo has the better tools to defend the PG position….and he’s actually a PG.

      No, the difference in size is negligible.

      Kabongo is 6’2 180 with a 6’8 wingspan.
      McCollum is 6’3 190 with a 6’6 wingspan.

      Athleticism goes to Kabongo. He is a quicker, faster and longer, which enables him to cover more ground, faster. His better length and quickness gives him the physical advantage at the PG position.
