    overrated

Aaron Gordon: Elite athlete, but what else? comparisons I see are blake griffin and shawn marion, but reality is his skill set is way behind those guys and he doesn’t have elite size for a pf. He looks like tyrus Thomas right now and I have a hard time drafting a guy in the lotto in hopes that he will develop actual skills. He does defend very well, ill give him that.

Jordan Adams: people talk about him as being a possible first rounder, but im not even sure he will ever make it in the nba. He is an average shooter and poor ball handler. He does a lot of little things well and has a great mid range game, but he is just too slow to excel in the nba imo.

    Underrated

kyle Anderson: with every game I keep wondering what is keeping this guy out of the lotto. He is shooting very well and running a very proficient offense as the full time pg. I definitely do not think he translates to a pg in the nba, but he could be a ball handling point forward who gaurds sf’s. Teams are not able to pick on him defensively as much as some think.

CJ Wilcox: He was injured a lot in recent seasons, but now as a senior, he is shining averaging 20ppg and knocking down ridiculous nba caliber shots where he is 42% from deep and climbing. He has a definite nba skill and that is shooting. He was 5/6 from three in his last game vs Oregon.

Jabari Bird: hopefully he returns to cal for another year. But this guy reminds me a lot of tim hardaway jr. Excellent scorer who can pull up and terrific athlete.

ANd the real darkhorse for me from the pac 12 is Delon Wright from Utah.

Wright is a 6-5 pg who is a JC transfer. He is running the show for the Utes and doing an incredible job leading them to a 14-6 start. He averages 16pts, 7reb, and 5apg. He also shoots 62% from the field. That’s 62% from a pg who shoots tons of jumpers and has to create off the dribble a lot. He is very disruptive on defense and just constantly has his impact on the game never disappearing for stretches. He reminds me a lot of former ucla pg earl Watson who has had a long nba career and I think delon Wright could prove to be a steal in the draft. He put up 19/6/4 tonight vs #1 Arizona and kept Utah in the game all night long.

he shot 31% from three as a freshman and is currently shooting 35% from three as a sophomore. Those are not elite numbers. ANd unlike true pure shooters who miss by inches, his misses can be airballs and off the side of the rim not close at all. Im a ucla fan and watch him a lot and I think his shooting ability is solid, but definitely not a major strength. his strength as a shooter comes from his ability to get shots off without seemingly even seeing the rim and from all angles which makes his mid range game great. He needs very little space. But as a pure spot up shooter, I always think its gonna be a miss. I don’t feel that way about elite shooters.

Can’t say I disagree with your assessment on the players you mentioned, just saying the Conference has a lot of solid recruits with NBA potential

there’s even more that you missed.  I just wanted to focus on guys that I feel are over/underrated. Most of those guys I think are rated right where they belong according to most sites.

+1 for mentioning Jabari Bird,he’s going to be much better than Hardaway jr..I hopes he sticks around another year and gain more experience & seasoning,he could be a lotto pick in 2015….

If Dwight Powell goes to a team with a coach like Doc Rivers or Popovich, someone to light a fire under him,so he can realize his vast potential,he could be a good pro….

Me and my boy Tony Jones from the salt lake tribune came up with a point guard version AK47.  Can’t really shoot but does everything else very well

Not any stars in the conference but there are a good amount that will be drafted early second with a chance to go late first.  The conference have a couple of guys who don’t put up big scoring numbers but have the measurements teams love for their position. Long, athletic, good defenders, rebounders, role players at the next level like a Dwight Powell, josh Huestis, Eric Moreland, Richard Solomon, Ronde Hollis Jefferson. Guys who may not have the fan hype surrounding them but who scouts have been watching and liking (more than the average fan may think)
