KHAM83ParticipantA couple thoughts and a question for my fellow members :
1. I’m not big on "what if the Cavs instead drafted such and such" and I hate those post. But, with that said, if LeBron is seriously considering Cleveland, I don’t see how he turns down Irving and Drummond or Irving and Noel, based on how he’s looking in Summer league.
2. If Bosh is still willing to take less and play with LeBron, do they pursue a sign and trade for Bosh if they do sign LeBron? I know Love is the preference but they’ll have to give up a lot to make the salary match and Minnesota has some power. They’ll need to include Verajo, which will leave a big whole in the middle. If Bosh was to take the rumored 12 million, Cleveland can send 2 out of Waiters, Bennett, and Thompson for Bosh. Verajo-Bosh-James-Wiggins-Kyrie looks darn good.
Question- if your Cleveland and you signed James. How do you fill out the rest of the team? Do you pony up and overpay for Love? Keep in mind the Wolves will now you’re desperate for him and ask for a King’s ransom.

MSUMParticipantI suppose if you’re set on getting K-Love just go ahead and see if you can acquire Dieng as well. Waiters, Bennet, Thompson and picks for those two works in the trade machine. Might be a long shot but I think it’s in the realm of possibility it could happen.

hbomb3300ParticipantNo way the Wolves give up both… especially for those 3

MSUMParticipantGranted more would have to be added or player substituted, but if you’re Minnesota you know you are never going to get a fair market value for K-Love and I would think Dieng would want a larger role in the not so distant future.

WITNESS2014ParticipantMinny has let it known that they want Wiggins if they are going to trade Love. I wish they would take Waiters, Thompson, and some picks for Love but I don’t see them doing it. Either wait til the trade deadline or wait til he is a free agent and Varejao comes off the books at 10 mil. They should be more focused on getting a tougher frontline with some defense.

GrandmamaParticipantAs for 1 and 2, I have no idea where you’re going with either one.
As to how the Cavs fill out their roster with Lebron, they won’t really have any room to do anything else. No, I don’t think they trade for Love. I think they just move forward with what they have. Maybe they dangle Anthony Bennett to see what they can get in return, but they might not like the offers after how poorly Bennett played last year.
